That 2018 season is VERY deceptive by the way : - league was in transition - only one 60 win team : Houston - neither Conference was particularly competitive Which makes the whole “KD Superteam” narrative a little suspicious : - the 2018 Warriors we’re NOT as good as the 2017 team - they took their foot off the pedal, and coasted during the regular season. - Lebron’s path through the Eastern Conference was at “JV” level, and even though Kyrie had left he still had KLove - 19/11 in the Finals - and a deep bench. - his EC competition (Cavs were the 4th seed) : Pacers (Best player : Oladipo) Raptors (BP : Lowry/DeRozan) Celtics (BP : 2nd year J. Brown) FIRST : anyone saying that a PRIME LBJ team, going against THAT field, ISN’T the favourite in every series, is being completely disingenuous. For context : the Rockets were the #1 seed…but NOBODY had them as the Favourite against the Dubs! SECOND : of the three EC series they played, the Cavs demolished the #1 seed Raptors (which they always did) in a sweep…but struggled against the lower seeded teams - both went 7 games. The East was MEDIOCRE, and yet the Cavs - the favourites - still had problems. THIRD : The Dubs WEREN’T unbeatable : the Rockets showed that…game 1 against the Cavs showed that…. My overall point is that while you can say that beating the Dubs may have been a bridge too far, Lebron taking the Cavs to the Finals with “no help” is overblown…
Shannon Sharpe argues his MJ vs LeBron points like a Filipino run LeBron love Facebook group. He literally sounds like a MJ hate meme. I'm waiting for him to mention Muggsy Bogues and using that as the definition of the 90's. The moment he said "Magic was like 75" he made it clear how limited his debate skills are. I'm certain Rich Paul and LeBron literally give him a script. 55+ year old former pro-athlete talking like a FB tween is pathetic.
Nobody said it did lmfao, Jordan media brainwashed NPCS into thinking an irrelevent stat such as 6-0 actually mattered. "Winning" until it's the first round, where losses there don't matter nor exist
Would haves and ifs don’t count. Even if we’re using what if scenarios and Jordan won 10 championships, he would still have one less than Bill Russell so does that make Bull Russell the greatest of all time. He actually does have 11 championships in 12 appearances. The argument shouldn’t be who is the GOAT. It’s who you like the most. There are way to many variables to ever determine who actually is the best of all time.
That’s ultimately the problem with this so called debate. In order to make it debate they have to try to tear down MJ accomplishments cause their crush can’t live up to them. That in itself ends debate. 10 scoring titles with 9 all defensive times if it’s so easy someone do it I guarantee it’ll never be done.
The fact that Shannon Sharpe bold enough to fix his mouth to say Jordan didn’t play anyone is so disrespectful to everyone in that era. That “He played plumbers” bs needs to stop

Honestly, quitting, not playing for 2-3 years, then coming back and playing again is frankly more impressive to me than someone that just continued to play the whole time.
Whats more IMPRESSIVE to me is MJ won 3 straight championships, lost his father, went an played baseball, came back lost to the Magic with Shaq and Penny...and rededicated himself, knocked the rust off and won 3 more straight and was Finals MVP in every one.

Sharpe cracks me up when he says Magic was too old in 1991 (32 years old/just won MVP 2 seasons prior, Lakers were a very good team that year), but Lebron beating Duncan and the Spurs in 2013 when Duncan was 36 and then getting beat (4-1) by 37 year old Duncan is completely different 😂. Come on, Shannon…let’s keep things reality!

What no one seems to mention about MJ's olympic teams is that at the time, basketball was not a global sport. I mean the best foreign player in the 90's was a 6th man of the year candidate in Toni Kukoc. The best foreign players in today game are a stratosphere better than those in the 90's. Plus, he disposed of the Pistons, Knicks, Pacers, again with superstars and hall of famers. Did LeBron leave a Superstar Hall of famer without a ring? Jordan did: Barkley, Ewing, Malone, Stockton, Miller, among others, never won a ring because of Jordan. You catch my drift Shannon Sharpe?

Not at all. MJ to basketball is like Ali to boxing. MJ transcended the sport and made it global. Until you understand the impact that MJ made on the game globally you will not fully understand why MJ is the GOAT and continue to only focus on stats as the final arbiter to make the decision.

Just give em the title and the championship LBJ will not even go far in the 80s and 90s era where MJ dominated that whole decade.
@@brianharron3435 so why did Bulls not win without Jordan? Why did Pippen not win when Jordan left? This argument is weak in my view. Jordan is the glue that made that team effective. When he left you saw that clearly.
LeBron, in 11 healthy seasons in Cleveland, won one championship, lost four finals, and got swept twice while going 7-19 overall😬 Jordan in 11 healthy seasons in Chicago, won 6 championships, lost 0 finals, and never got swept in the finals 😬 and had a career record of 24-11in the finals 😬
Let's add, with MJ's team had the best NBA record till GS, won 2x 3 peats, no team has accomplished that yet. Lakers w/1. LJ w/all of his "superteams" hasn't come close to 96 Bulls record and not at least one 3peat.
