For those tripping about ocho, It’s been announced Ocho & Unc will do football & Gil is joining Unc on other days for basketball. No replacement & people should be excited for even more content. Unc & OCHO are top tier for sure but I’d recommend those to give Gil a chance if you haven’t yet. From this first episode alone you can see the chemistry & those coming from Gils Arena know how lit it is. These 2 personalities are only going to get better & im psyched about this collab.

What's different is Gil is far more analytical than Ocho is. So his responses have real considered thought behind it. So the show feels a little more serious but as the chemistry builds and Gil starts letting more of the No Chill out, it's going to be 🔥🔥. But it's already good.

I agree with Gil, Klay is the exact same player he was when he came into the league. Paul George improved his shooting and handles since he was already a good defender. So he has the ability to get to his spots and score. Klay never improved on his handles where he can pump fake and really get to the rim or develop a good post up game with his size and strength. Now Klay is easier to defend because he is somewhat predictable. If his shot is failing him, then he is screwed. I think he is still a great third or fourth option if all he is being asked to do is spot up shoot. I don’t think that is worth over $24 million a year.

He was a great fit to Steph and at some point, were almost equal in efficiency but what happened in the last 4 years? They won in '21-'22 but Klay's spot was taken by Wiggins at the Finals. Klay had a poor 35% fg and 3fg and played less minutes than Wiggins. While Steph and Wiggins got better, he slumped yet he's expecting more? 😅

I guess I can see an argument where those big 4 years came back to haunt him. Those were his 26-28 year old years. You’re eventually forced to pay the price on everything. The years with curry and kd were fantastic yet also they could’ve been years klay was forced to really improve his overall game had not the big 4 been formed. And let’s not forget his injuries have had a toll as well. Still first ballot at the end of the day and a top 10 shooter ever.

The problem with klays development was that he was already working on his dribble game starting 2018-2019. We saw the warriors let him bring it up on occasions etc back then. The thing that fucked him up were the injuries in 2019 and 2020. The Achilles injury, we saw workout vids of his handles and moves etc. all that went to shot with the b2b injuries. No speed no power.. wtf is he gonna do with dribbling, hell even elite ball handlers like jwall went tonshit after those injuries let alone klay who was just starting his ball handling improvements. What klay should’ve done post injuries was went back to his old catch and shoot self but I guess he hasn’t been aware enough to realize that.

His catch and shoot stuff was predicated on all-time elite off ball movement, which relied on quickness, strength, and stamina. Since he’s returned he hasn’t done any of that. He was great the prior two seasons (lead the league in 3s last year) based on taking and making grossly contested shots over defenders. My guess is the league saw how the lakers defended him and has adapted by putting longer defenders on him so those shots are a lot more contested than he was getting away with.

There is no way in hell Westbrook couldn't get any offers around 15-20m per year. His "terrible" year with the Lakers; he still put up 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists per game. Russ bought a $30m mansion when he moved to LA. He chose to stay in LA so he can be with his family, and the Clippers purposely gave him a player option on his 2nd year, so he can decline in the offseason and then the Clippers can pay him since they will have his bird rights by then, and it won't affect the salary cap. The Clippers paid him as much as they could, because of the cap. And the man already made $400m in his career, so it probably wasn't a hard decision for him. Thinking that Russ didn't get any offers from other teams is a case of brain damage.

Wow, I can appreciate the fact that Clay may still be able to be a catch and shoot player, and he does currently lead the team in blocked shots, when you have somebody like BP on the bench, who cannot only be a spot up shooter, but also give it an added dimension while driving to the basket and getting rebounds, how can you justify giving Klay the playing time?

No one is going to offer Klay 24 mill+ in the summer. And he must want significantly more than that if he’s turning it down. It seems like he wants best player on the team superstar money and after his injuries the guy is just a shooter. Anyone who wants him will just need him to be a floor spacer like Ray was in Miami. He’ll be worth 15 mill at the very most.

I originally thought Unc, Chad and Gil would be together and i didn't want that. I enjoyed this. I also like Gil because he dont mind being honest and being disliked. Chad as much as i enjoy him hates criticizing players. And it limits him at times.

Klay is a good on ball defender before his injuries, but only against smaller pgs..not against players of his size or a little taller..he was good against the likes of kyrie, dame, tony parker, cp3, but not against harden, kawhi, luka, booker,
