This is great, but everyone must understand, they have a partnership with the Rwandan government (60/40) this means they are able to produce these houses cheaper with the help of the government. To be honest it’s still not that cheap, they said a two bedroom is around $20k with very small area (open kitchen in the front lobby with tiny living and dining room) and $10k for studio (25m2 area) that’s basically 5m x 5m home. Still great job, May Allah support those who support their communities.
Walaal don’t forget the advanced green certification by Edge World Bank makes these houses more expensive than normal houses Only these requirements make the houses 25% more expensive ( reflective roofing, insulation, ventilation, certified sanitary ware lighting at 90 lumens and very specific data sheet)
@@sadiyahassan6824 I appreciate your reply and I do agree the edge certification will make this development more expensive (as I have already obtained Edge & LEED certification on previous projects) but I believe without government support like Rwanda it will be very difficult to switch to steel frame building. When comparing traditional Brick mortar to prefab steel building, the later should be cheaper by 30% hence that’s why it’s widely used in some parts of South Asia. Again great job for all the hard work.

This concept, which is combination of technical and vocation instition and establishing low cost housing is interesting, especially the construction method is very outstanding ( precasting construction method)
Government private sector partnership agreement is a good way to go forward. That doesn't necessarily means compromising quality, environment or cutting corners in order to achieve it. All those monitoring bodies should be in place, and functioning independently. But one things that's mind boggling is the Somalis themselves. They're unique race when it comes business, ingenuity and entrepreneurship outside of their race.
Walaal I am happy you understood what PPP means Without serious partners in an environment free of corruption a lot can be done In Rwanda all these elements including nationalism are present A showcase that Africa must be built by Africans and Rwanda it’s only a showcase in how things should be done Hope this will be a good example for the African leaders to put country and people before their own interest
@@sadiyahassan6824 Yes, you're right sis. The project isn't only about building houses and making profits. Pan - Africanism, and patriotism should be part of it. And people running it should be free from corruption in all its different manifestations. Perhaps, the only precondition, I can think of for that happening is PEACE.
Walaal peace is the foundation of every development But beyond it visionary leaders are at the base of every country that has succeeded Look Singapore from a poor country today they are an economic power As the owner of this project I have been in Gabon a very rich and peaceful country My children were born there and we invested more than in Rwanda We understood as pan Africanistes that boundaries are useless and we needed somewhere to express ourselves and that we can contribute to restore the pride of Africans We needed someone that believes in the talent of Africans and give them hope to express themselves in a clean environment with an African patent May Allah help everyone that wants to leave this world with a tangible legacy Thanks We hop
I really liked the video on the housing project but what really touched me these last exchanges with saleban and hereri on both hands one holding the pens the other the bread 🍞 its really inspired me for the hope of peace for our Somali people would he have a third hand to hold a weapon not
Waan ka xumaaday runnti- kama xumaanin in ay dad Soomaaliyeed ay yeeshan shirkado laakin waxaan ka xumaaday in ay dhisiyaan dhul aysan laheyn oo dal shisheeye ah. Dadleena ayaa u baahan in la dhiso, magaalooyinka Soomaalida hala dhiso oo nabada ah.
Maxaa la dhisaa o la maalgeliyaa, kan horey ugu laheen ee naga xoogeen, o cabir a lagu celiyey dheheene. Meeshey nabad taalo, o xaq iyo baadil kala soocan yihiin ayaa investment la gelin karaa. Dad aan dagaal ka weynaan, derisnimo ma leh. Isku xishooda, o is xisaabiya intan leydin xisaabin.
