After Watchung you almost burn up everything on your bike, this is what I was looking for. Not to mention supporting a great company that stands behind their product. Thanks for the great content!
Yeah. Not sure what caused the first harness to ground out and burn. Because the second harness I was sent by that other company worked fine. Had to have been a faulty wire grounding in their harness. I’ve since heard of others having issues with their harness as well from that company that shall not be named 😂 Appreciate the support 🤘🏻🤙🏻
Dang! So much easier than having to wire a whole harness to the battery! Now im definitely leaning more towards these than the Baja lights now. I don’t want to go through all that extra work for install when I can just plug in one harness in the fairing. Just wish they did an amber / clear combo. Nice video, brother. Thx you for doing this 🤘🏻
Very Nice! I honestly like the look better than the BJs , and also the light span seems better. I didn't notice either being brighter than the other tbh either. Nice Video Bro!
Good job on the install , like the beam of the custom dynamics better , the LP6 is an off road light bikers tried to tame but to wild all over the place not focused for what we need . I'll speak to them at Daytona in a couple of weeks . Thanks
I’ll probably get it out sometime this week and just deal with the severe cold for 15-20 minutes to gather footage. That windchill tho with 20° is rough lol
very very nice. Hey, talk to the Custom Dynamics people. You should take an E exam. Then all of their products could be legally installed in Europe. That would be a huge deal.
@@JLMann5882 thank you, glad I could help. These are the levers I’m using and they’re fantastic: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AwYKpLS15n0.htmlsi=EsE97R2s_dzlX4FH
Your mechanic is correct. These are truly plug and play. No issues. I have another video before this one that shows how to install the Baja lighting. You can see for yourself the difference
I'm thinking of getting this set up. The only thing that is holding me back. I have amps behind the headlight for the stereo. Do you think water can still get through the bracket or is it sealed pretty good?
They’re showing that it’s IP6 waterproofed. They’re making spacers for people with amps in their fairings. I honestly can’t see custom dynamics releasing anything that hasn’t been vigorously tested for those types of conditions. They don’t want to be liable for destroyed electronics.
Custom dynamic is the best when it come to lightning,i have all custom dynamic lights on my 22 road glide front and rear everyone call my bike the space shuttle because of all the the lights.
I dont like how much light my Stock Road Glide headlight puts out. I need more light. How do these Shark Demon lights compare to other Custom Dynamics lights?
These are the brightest light CD has ever released. The beam pattern is perfect. These have 180° ditch to ditch light patterns that are very bright. If you go to my Instagram. You can see them in action at night.
They’re great for off road functionality. But the focus of the lighting is all over the place. The demons are designed for the road. Either choice tho, is a good one. It’s hard to beat what they’ve put together with this kit and at 1/3 less on cost. 🤘🏻 appreciate your input 🙌🏻
In all honesty I loved the look of the lp6’s much better, but then again not my monkey not my circus :) wonder if CD does the yellow and white look too?
The LP6’s definitely had a nice unique look to them. I will agree. But the CD lights are built very well and look great in person. I heard rumors that they’ll be doing an amber lens in May. So we’ll see. If they do. I’ll be picking one up. Because I did love the amber/clear setup.
@Gimps_Garage well the bracket didn't come with instructions. So I'm having to look for someone who's done it here on RU-vid. That's the reason for my post
No. I don’t think they are compatible. The LP6’s have to be wired directly to the battery. LP6 use harness’s that use multiple relays and midline fuses
Lifetime warranty and don't have to support a pedo. Sounds like wins to me. And as far as Custom Dynamics warranty, it is rock solid. My brother had some LEDs crap out on his halo turn signals and they sent him a new pair, no questions asked
Yep. They absolutely stand behind their products 100%. I do want to clear something up tho that I have seen as a misconception. Baja designs is its own company. The company that had the p3do, just made a bracket and harness kit for Baja designs. There’s some great companies out there that make similar kits for the LP6 lights. Unfortunately Baja is being stuck in the middle with that other company’s history. LS Fabworks is veteran owned and makes a great LP6 kit.
Yeah, I remember the video where you basically said the middle-man that made the kit is the problem, not Baja. It would be smart (if they can) for Baja to not allow that company to make kits for their lights
It’s definitely a higher price than other lights. But they’re definitely noticeably brighter and constructed very well. But if we are to compare these to the other brand and that price tag, they’ve made it significantly cheaper than the other similar brand. Which is $1,500-$1,700. Unfortunately the price of everything seems to be increasing with each day
From what I can tell, It’s no different than the stock light as far as the slight openings in the fairing. These bikes can handle water tho. They’re pretty much made with a lot of marine grade components.
Hello Gimpy, I am going to be honest and I know why you did this change and support you on that but LP6 headlights look way better. CD just not the same...
Brother I’m all about the honesty and people having different tastes and different opinions. Totally solid either way in my book. I honestly feel these are more practical on the road. You have the focused beam side to side. Covers everywhere you need to see. I’m curious if they do release an amber, how that would compare in that comparison. Going from amber / clear to clear / clear, it’s not an exact comparison. Ya know? They are bright as hell and the ease of install will be a huge bonus for a lot of people. Appreciate your feedback 🤘🏻🤙🏻
Why would you remove a perfectly good set of lights…. And expensive lights to boot…. For the customer dynamics??? Is it because you got them for free?? Would you have paid $999 for the customer dynamics with the lights you already have?? I’m sorry but Custom Dynamics has bought and paid for alot of the creators on RU-vid
I have paid for every single product on this bike and every video I have done an install on I have paid out of pocket for up until now. I am not bought and paid for to lie about quality of something. If a product is subpar and falls short, I am honest about it. Did you watch the video? These lights were coming out regardless because I don’t support p3dophile companies. It Was already planned to remove their bracket and wiring harness out of my bike. Just happened to be perfect timing that CD released the shark demon. Also, there’s a lot of companies that use various avenues to promote their products. It’s a form of marketing. Same as if a company spent money on commercials or advertising. Just because a few creators endorse a product, doesn’t mean the product is inferior. Custom dynamics has designed, engineered and manufactured a lot of really great products over the last 15+ years. There’s a reason they’re still the leader in lighting and it’s not because they’re sending out lights to a few creators on RU-vid 🤘🏻🤙🏻
But to answer your question. Yes I absolutely would’ve paid the $999 for these lights. They’re bright, they’re reliable, their warranty is excellent, they’re 30-40% cheaper than BD, the ease of install compared to BD is a night and day difference. Many reasons I would’ve paid the $999. Ultimately I’ve been supporting this company out of pocket for many years and it’s not going to stop.
@@Gimps_Garage sorry I touched a nerve but seems Custom Dynamics has sent everyone these lights. Monkey and Fanatix are doing the same. These guys are sponsored to the nines and then they sound like Billy Mays selling the Shamwow lol I started watching those guys when they had less than 500 subs. Now it’s nothing but infomercials. Sorry I’m ranting. I look for bike related RU-vid people with smaller subscribers to avoid that. Ok again I’m sorry. Have a great day
@@EzlivnMaine no need to apologize buddy. You didn’t hit a nerve. I just wanted to elaborate and give you an honest and direct response. I have pretty thick skin. Didn’t offend me at all. I do pride myself on my honesty and giving honest reviews. Because I know that as a biker, I would want legitimate and honest information on if something is reliable or not. I am a biker first and foremost. Doing videos on here because I enjoy teaching others when I can. I will always be upfront and honest. But like I said, I have never made a single dollar off this channel. But I have spent thousands of dollars to make these videos. 🤘🏻 I hope you stick around. I’m definitely not like a lot of the other guys. 🤙🏻
Your stance on the Pedo thing earned you a follow. Keep fighting the good fight, brother. 2 wheels down! Thanks for the review. I was going to do the Baja lights, but now that i know about the pedo stuff, I'm going to look at these lights. Thanks! I wouldn't have known otherwise. God bless.
Appreciate the support 🤘🏻 happy the review helped you out. Definitely gotta stick together and inform each other when there’s predators in this field 🙌🏻
It’s almost impossible to get 100% American made anymore. Maybe when China gets tired of our antics, they’ll stop doing business with the U.S. I personally would pay a little more for American made 🤷♂️
