That's because a lot of entrepreneurs are asking for a lot of money without sales that justify their valuation. It's ok to be confident, it's ok to dream; but, you also need to be realistic. Every business must have a natural growth. A lot of people dream about an exponential growth and that's not ok.

Glen made the best point at the end. A lot of these businesses fall in love with the idea of going global long before they have secured their base. 400 shops is a lot, but that's a fraction of what's in Australia. Focus on that for a couple years, establish yourself as THE name there, and international investors will come to you

no but the no sugar thing is actually great for people w type one diabetes. They were giving them crap for the stevia, but I've happened to know a couple people w diabetes, and they always have to be extremely wary with alcohol because of the sugar content a lot of drinks have, and sugary drinks often enter your system way faster than injected insulin can compensate for. So, having an alternative option that can still get you drunk could be really helpful for the social lives of people w type 1 (and two!)

I really like how these sharks kinda work together at times. Many episodes you see a shark or 2 say “the offer from the other shark is very good and they have more experience than I do with your product”. The American sharks are cut throat. But maybe the reason some of the American sharks have billions of dollars is from the cut throat attitude. But either way these Australians are obviously successful

Because people completely over value their business. How can these guys seriously think their business is worth 2.5 million. If you were smart you would sell a 10-15% share for 100k or so to an investor with contacts / proven experience. Long term you will have a much higher chance of doing well...

Ricky Bobby it’s actually a solid company, they managed to get their feet off the ground with an alcohol company and are attempting to revolutionize alcohol through making beverages that can appeal to people that are dieting. They’re using modern ideals and are actually making it work, they pitched somewhat poorly but I have to disagree with their company being shit
