Thank you for sharing this. Those beater heads are at least a hundred dollars to replace. I'm a professional house cleaner and this saves me money

Thank you so much for this video! This is the 2nd Shark that had this issue. The 1st I threw out before I realized what the problem was. Your video was so helpful and saved me lots of money!

Love this video, thank you so much! I had no confidence in replacing mine (of 4 Shark vacs, these always fault on me) but after this video I'm actually ordering the hose& am pretty sure I can. Unlike most videos/tutorials, love that you didn't skip ANY steps, showing what seems like tedious things but for someone like me who would forget what steps or parts went where this was super helpful. Most of all the simplicity overall plus real life struggles makes it great for the amateurs and also, your nails look nice. Thanks again- more helpful than you probably know.

Thank you for sharing this video. I was able to replace the hose. This was a great help as I couldn't afford to replace the whole vacuum & so of course I searched RU-vid to see if anyone was showing how to replace it & I watched afew others also. Thanks so much.....

THANK YOU. I got an even newer version of the Deluxe Pro for 24 dollars just because the hose was split. Even split it still works amazing and the top part is worth 24 anyway! Looking forward to fixing this awesome machine. ;)

Thank you so much, you really take the time to explain in detail which is so important when you are not a DIY person! Your video made me confident that I could fix it myself so I am gonna go and buy a hose and do the job.

This was a very helpful video - Thank you. I ended up using a bit of WD-40 / grease to help twist the pipe in (probably not ideal but seemed to do the trick. ) I don't have the deluxe model so where yours were cross head screws all mine were torx - T20 and T10 size for anyone reading this .

This video was very helpful! I have the Shark Rocket Deluxe purchased from Costco (which I think the model number was designated just for Costco and therefore not listed for parts). I learned about torx bits and security screws. What an ordeal to change out the hose. Yes, the link to the hose is correct, but it is just a smidge too big in diameter. My husband thought he would have to shave off some of the plastic but instead he used oil to lubricate and it helped. The hose might even be a bit too long because if you don't get it shoved up high enough at the top when you go to replace the cover plate the plate won't go down if the hose is even a smidge sticking out into the compartment. So the hose is really something that takes patience and a strong hand to twist it counter clockwise back into each area. Be sure you know which screws go where because there is one short one. We also decided to change out the roller and the Sionlan HV320 fit perfectly. Again, you need patience because the plastic cover was a bit testy to get off and you have to deal with the light strip. I almost gave up hope in getting the hose in place and decided the a good thing about the Shark Rocket is that if the roller quits working it becomes a hand held vacuum so not a total loss. Update: Today at a Thrift Store I saw a Shark Rocket for $19 and the hose was cracked. If I needed a spare I would have bought it.

Thank you so much for posting this video. My parents split exactly like that. I used the same tubes and with your video got the sweeper back up and going. One issue I did have is the replacement tubes are very thick while the original is pretty flimsy. This made it difficult to get the replacement replacement tubes screwed into the two ends. Took me over an hour and a half. I had to carefully work it in with padded pliers and a screwdriver. Took a little effort getting it all lined back up but then it all went back together fine.

Well done. Thank you. I could not figure how to remove the front connection as I didn't want to break anything in the process. Some thoughts: 1. My screws were T10 & T20 SECURITY Torx. 2. Shark/Rocket had GLUED my hose connection into both the upper & lower housing frames and it was hard to remove and replace to normal fitting. Ended up drilling out the upper-housing notch that snapps onto the front hose connection. I also added a SMALL dot of Gorilla glue to hold position. 3. I added a bead of silicone glue to the threads of the hose connections and the outer lip of the front connector to make for a good seal. I do the same for pool hoses and other vacuum fittings. 4. These are good vacuums with a very poor quality flex hose.... luckily they can be repaired.

Will try as soon as parts arrive but this seems very helpful and provides enough information to make a repair vs replacement possible.

You made it look so easy lol. The hose part on mine didn't come out of the base. So I had to cut the hose and peel it out of the 2 sections. Then I screwed one hose in and shoved the other side in since I couldn't turn it. Hopefully it works

How did it work when you pulled back on the handle? I found that the hose was very stiff and did not fit very well so I’m curious as to how long the repair worked?

@@mikerichards9218 I am assuming you figured it out but you need to make sure the front is in first before rocking the back in to position. This was a super helpful video!

@Kip Nixon I struggled for a bit getting the hose to screw in as well. I ended up trimming some of the extra plastic on the hose to get it to screw in. Good luck!
