After exchange rate and shipping the Sharkset is just over triple ($300CAD vs $90CAD) shipped so I think I'll just grab the generic, I got the scooter lightly used for $400 and I don't put a tonne of km on it.
Hello and thank you for making these movies. I chose the fork suspension and after watching your reviews this is gonna be my second attempt. The first one was slightly different from that you showed on the movie. Arms were slanted, not straight and I've had a big trouble with installing it properly (small differences in measures). I gave up with it and this time I've purchased exactly the same as yours and I hope that it will be more compatible than the previous one. Thanks again and good luck!
The RGB light for sure drain the battery but it is not noticeable. This is only a 5V LED and the controller output current is less than 1A. It won't consume that much battery that you notice the battery drainage.
Hello. I follow the same path as you concerning the front suspensions on my G30. I started with the Monorim. I kept it for 2 days, too flexible, lack of rigidity, I was not safe. Then I tested the Fork (which I still have now), bought 50 euros on ALI. I found the original rigidity of the stem of my G30, I much prefer it to the Monorim. But average and random build quality. I just ordered the Sharkset. I wanted to know if you find it safe enough in terms of play in the handlebars. Is it stiff enough? And does she make noises all over the place? I hope my message will be clear, because I am French and I use translator;) Thank you for your help. Jeff.
Hey. Thanks for your comment. I haven’t had the Monorim so I can’t comment on that one. However the Sharkset is very solid and as long as you get the bolts tightened down properly. You will not have any issues in the steering :) I hope that helps.
@@ScootLetsGo Thank you very much for your reply! I received it today, installed, but not yet tested, because my scooter is open to change the 60V kit battery ... I am redoing the entire electrical harness ... It looks good. What springs did you put in?
@@JFKM22 wow 60V kit. Is that changing out the full battery, controller and motor? I’m sticking with the soft springs as they give me the most comfort for the rides I do and my weight. But the medium are good for just town riding where you want a little bit more stiffness for higher speed. To be fair you can take a 5mm hex key and another set of springs and just swap them out where ever you go :)
Nice video Ive just wondering if it's possible to fitted with 10x2.5 and 10x3 as only reason that everyone hates having 60/70 6.5 wheels and it be nice to see wider wheels in future for ninebot max and other models like Segway ninebot are best quality the way they built but thinner wheels are such terrible to ride it's not safe
I was going to ask if they are coming out with a rear suspension? i just bought the same one you had on your video for the rear. but if Shark will have a rear i can return the one i purchased. pls lmk
I have personally reached out to the founder and developer of the product in SHARKSET and he stated that they will release the rear suspension next May .
Hello, I was wondering if you could put the link to the .STL File here, since I tried to go to it, but it doesn't exist (anymore) apparently. Many thanks in advance and have a great weekend!
My sharkset is sitting waiting to be installed, but I would say that having the multiple sets of springs included, while a relatively small thing that probably doesn't contribute much to the price, was a positive factor. Mostly I like how it looks. My front tyre seems to be losing air slowly, and I have a replacement that I'll put on when I do the suspension (using your video as reference haha), but have you tried the solid rubber ones? I was wondering how they ride, especially if you have suspension to compensate.
When you doing the install? I know the springs do not cost a huge a mount. It is nice to have them in there. I haven’t tried the solid tires yet. The problem with those is that you will not get as much traction. And will take away from the comfort too
@@ScootLetsGo I've got as far as installing the RGB strips, the rest can wait until the weekend. I used to ride it to work every day, but not since last March. Still, it's a good time to tinker with mods. Hadn't thought about traction with solid rubber, good point.
If they made them legal here I think more people would ride to work especially in the nicer weather. When I get the funds a battery mod would be a good thing to add so that I can go further
If you bought yours recently you don’t have them installed. So you can decide not to have them. If yours has them installed. You have just take them off
Hey. Have you see the giveaway video? That is for the fork suspension for Ninebot Max. Go over watch that video and comment there on why you got you max and you will be entered. :)
Depends if you like modding your scooter or not. Some people bought the Max for the range but now have decided they want to upgrade but can’t spend out all that money for a new scooter. So this allows them to incrementally upgrade
