people dont seem to understand The Banana is insane because well... its goddamn Andy Warhol. but most important That banana on the vinyl literally was peelable, and it revealed another variation of the cover with a "flesh-colored banana". It conceptually asked the owner to "peel slowly and see". It brings the art into the real world as a 3D object once peeled. The conceptualism is off the charts, not many albums can do the same really anymore.

The black and white waveforms are just very visually striking and have become so iconic that many artists take inspirations for their covers (see Arctic Monkeys and Vince Staples). It also made for a lot more t-shirt designs than Andy Warhole ever did. Closer basically has an art painting as a cover, which is cool too, but I prefer it when artists do something bolder for the cover
Not a single Michael Jackson cover makes this shit invalid....Dangerous is one of the best Album covers of all time and If we're going off of iconic albums as the list seemed to focus on instead of how the cover looked then Thriller and Bad must be included

Some of them for sure but there seems to be a weird combination of trying to appeal to young listeners by gassin up certain artists like SZA and Beyonce or whatever while also trying to appeal to music nerds with something like Velvet Underground or Funkadelic, and it just comes off as kind of a shitty list all around lmao
idk man, it’s something about the mbdtf covers that looks looks so classy while also being extremely disturbing, i personally like it more than graduation, although grad is still a great cover and has beautiful colors
15:30 awe c'mon, Sex Pistols are def valid for this list. The way they came onto the scene and turned punk on its very head with their whole dirty apathetic aesthetic was something that influences artists to this very day

Anderson .Paak - Malibu, Grateful Dead - Aoxomoxoa, and Don Cherry self titled all deserve to be here, and Pink Floyd has so many better covers than DSotM
