The first years I had a cheap house where I could ride my motocross bikes to the end of the street and head out into the Mojave. I'd ride to the the top of these butttes, look down and watch herds of wild Mustanges loping along. Amazing how things change so rapidly .
I cannot get this song out of my head. We should all have someone love us this much! Even train wrecks have redeeming qualities. We should have the patience to search for them.
Exactly. The music industry is political poison, so we have to learn to support Shawn and other artists withOUT making the rich get richer. Getting 10 friends to chip in for that virtual house party during this pandemic is one way I plan to support him🤍 check it out on his website!! Very cool
Absolutely. Married my beautiful wreck. 15 years ago. Our only child is almost 14 now. She's as beautiful as her ma. I'm the rough son of a bitch who love them both. Damn song's gospel!!
Shawn Mullins is an amazing singer songwriter.......this is one of my favorites.......reminds me of someone special in my life. One of my absolute favorite songs.......
My dad originally showed me this song and I love it. It struck some truth in me. I'm addicted to this song! I love it! Thanks so much Shawn for helping to fill our world with good music! ~lici
of all of shawn's songs throughout his career this one i thought was blatantly country the first time i heard it. not like it matters because of how much i love the man. got to meet him once but i'd waited 7 years to see him in concert and i was totally speechless!
I've been a fan of Shawns since the 1st time I heard shimmer. He belongs in that rare breed we call 'story tellers'. Instead of labeling 'rock' or 'country' I just go with the description male vocal. Anybody who likes shawn should try Marc Coen. Another great male vocalist.
I feel sorry for the man who never had a woman this song epitomizes; gotta Love her, all the while knowing it isn't going to last and it isn't going going end well! " When you go too far. Beautiful Wreck you are!" You've never really been in Love!
i lost count of the times ive given up on you,but you make such a beautiful wreck you do..........genius lyrics.....go glen phillips and shawn!!!!!!!!come back to the loft....columbus , ga soon!!!!
Gee, Actually I am old., really. And this is the best song that I have gotten into in such a long time. Shawn's voice is so so something to cherish. woW!
It's too bad all the fuck anyone cares about today is crappy ass R&B music with Auto tune and drum machines when there's good music like this still to listen to and be made.
personally, i am glad shawn isnt a big name singer. i hate to think what the media vultures would do to him. look at the "singers" like winehouse etc... every second magazine has their latest drug problems/boob jobs/boy/girlfriend breakups and hookups. i am glad that shawn isnt subjected to that. keep it up, shawn. as long as you produce cds, i will continue to buy them. literally the only cds i will hunt down to own physical copies of... every other artist i like, i go itunes.
One year ago the person who linked me to this song , was told he had stage 4 lung cancer , he’s still here , and pretty much a miracle ❤️ We are not together for a long time , but I know in his heart and mine I will always be his beautiful wreck , Will always luv you TM SJBEB
Oh, I'm just going to HAVE to borrow "persqueeter" some time!!! If I didn't have a bad back (I'm an Old, grateful to have been around when music sounded like MUSIC), I'd literally be ROTFL right now. LOLOL Thanks for the chuckle!
Shawn is too good not to be recognized...I love him and listen to him so very much...what is wrong with those people that can't do the same.....listen to public radio and independent radio... Find the best of the best....thumbs down to commercial radio!!!!!!
You don't meet stars on the red floor or in hollywood. Bars and Pubs are the areas where you meet them. Real Artists don't care about career- they live their music ♥ And of course their like diamonds really rare and at places you wouldn't expect :)
@hnryjms The video just came on Palladium again. Must be catching on these years later. Love it. Husband getting better with the ukulele, too. What is that building, fire from the hills?
@shumirules1 Songwriters like Shawn Mullins don't need "Fame", they are happy with achieving what they do. Which is reaching the audience he does and just getting his message past. I think Shawn is probably one of the most underrated artists out there, with that said.
