Daredevil was always a mess. He is IN NO WAY believable as a blind person. Foggy Nelson is aman with the head of a boy. There are so many things wrong with the show.

Black Widow died only to then later use her corpse in the Black Widow movie. But they got off lucky.

@@whaleping it's not female characters, it's how they write them. female characters CAN be just as good as male. problem is now days they write them 100% of the time as self inserts for the writing team. they are always smug, bitchy genuinely AWFUL people. usually involving a scene where a white guy smiles at her and she beats him up for it. while at the same time those are portrayed as positives rather than flaws. they don't have any flaws, and everyone they meet loves them and becomes borderline obsessed. they are always the strongest, most powerful person imaginable and are never at any point in any actual peril or danger. then every white male character, even pre-established ones like daredevil are written dumber, sleazier, more incompetent and usually with a hint of racism, all to make the female characters look better by comparison. it's just bad writing and leads to an uninteresting show, not BECAUSE it's a female lead.

He's made quips in life or death battles with the Kingpin so why wouldn't he in a goofy battle with She-Hulk? If there was ever a time for Netflix's Daredevil to make a quip, it was in this show.

In this case, Daredevil IS also funny and light-hearted when he wants to in the comics. It's literally just a different point in his life, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with in interpretation of Daredevil by the writers because he acts like that in the primary source material.

That’s why Phase 1 will always be peak MCU to me. I miss when these movies were being distributed by Paramount and given a lot more creative freedom and self-containment. Unfortunately the films (side for Ironman 1 and Avengers) are really underrated.

I would say I don’t want Steve to come back, but Chris Evans is just as woke as everyone at Disney and will undoubtedly come back to fuck over the character. Alright is pretty sad for a member of the best rogue Gallery in marvel comics. I suppose it was a nice change of pace from the other spiderman villains that were unhinged entirely but the whole thing of him having a grudge with stark made it very impersonal. And even if I’m not the biggest fan of comic vulture, a level of eccentricity was greatly lost in translation.

The problem is they are ADAPTING another teams creative vision and porting it into their universe. Fine, but honor the original creators and stay tru to their vision. They didn’t. They creatively poached Netflix’s version of the character, turned him into something else, and pretend it’s the same. Again, like the dude said, if they had their own ORIGINAL version of daredevil they wanted to base off the Marc Wade run of comics, have at it. But that’s not what they did.

They ported over another version of Daredevil to ensure fan interest and then didn't deliver a product that really considers the canon of Netflix's series they just brought over the assets. Which is a pretty shady way to generate hype if you ask me. I didn't want to see a recasted Daredevil either, but I expected him to be used in scenarios that fit the R rating of the Netflix series, not in a rom com skit. In that case you would recast him and characterize him in a more lighthearted fashion. Seeing Charlie's version of Daredevil take on these ridiculous cases feels tonally tone deaf

The thing is that people saw the team making it is pretty much the same as the previous two films and that they've been given, allegedly, a carte blanche. What they seem to have missed though, is that along with the team, the writing credits list has two writers that have no writing experience except for a seemingly mediocre animation show and some god awful talk show. Given the track record of Disney "empowering" less known writers....I fear for what it might come to. They're also the primary names in imdB, although I don't know if that means much. DP2 was weaker than DP1 already, though it retained the flair of the character. I just hope DP3 keeps the dumb and crigne jokes and doesn't replace them with "THE MESSAGE". They have a huge opportunity, but I'm 70% sure they're going to fuck it up if someone doesn't put the foot in the door and says "ENOUGH".

You are a fuckin clown that doesn't know daredevil, comics, or marvel if you think they ruined him... let me explain why you this take is dumb as fuck This was easily the best and most comic accurate version of daredevil we have ever had on screen.. yes including his series.. The dude shows up, beats her in court by making her look dumb, meets her in a bar that night and convinces her to take up being a superhero all the ehole getting her to like him, leaves to go fight crime by stopping her client from hurting his, embarrasses her again this time in combat by flipping all around her and literally bouncing off her back and flipping all the way down down the side of the building while just trying to avoid her and not fight, single handedly takes down an entire building of goons/henchman while she hulk frees luke and talks to Leapfrog, gives legal advice literally at the same time as beating the shit out of said henchman, then later smashes she hulk, then goes home... Wtf am I missing? Lol.. how in God's name is that ruining him.. thats like.. the most badass of a debut that somebody could ask for.. not to mention he actually had a personality in this and wasn't a statue like in his show.. you know like daredevil is SUPPOSED to.. Are you seriously saying they ruined him based off a 5 second walk of shame joke?
