Frozen veggies can be a budget friendly option. I usually get a big bag of broccoli florets. They steam up just like fresh in most recipes. Also frozen berries. The real bonus is they don't spoil before you get a chance to eat em.

Rappini is awesome, cut the stems off, chop up, brown garlic, throw rapini in and cook til soft, eat with baguette bread. I grew up on this and it is my favorite vegetable! It’s a bit bitter but I love it! You can also mix it with cooked pasta😊

For potentially cheaper greens, have you tried collard greens, turnip greens or mustard greens? They're usually cheap and are very nutritious. Collard greens are nice because they don't turn to a wilted mess when they're cooked. Just some ideas.

Chrome...this is Tracey from Tumbleweed RvLife channel...on our road to our property in Baja mexico by Todos santos....honestly our beach road is bad all the way...hahaha...and you are so right about the water and locals gunning it but for us it is also the razors and when they race like the NORRA 1000 that was just here this last month...they did a number on the roads...i really hope they grade the road soon which does help...with our truck camper it takes us an hour to town when it should normally take 20 min...we have to go so slow!! ...AND...wow 150 for 1 bag of groceries?! Not looking forward to getting back to canada and the crazy expensive prices!! Take care and looking forward to the tour of the next video!💚💜💚

I suggest that you blanch your broccoli rabe for about 4 minutes in boiling water before sautéing in some olive oil and garlic. It will tame the bitterness - delicious.
