@@timothydewa9096 4th prince only did it because of Noble Consort Jia. He didn’t want to disappoint her as that was the most trust worth person he had in the palace. Noble Consort Jia even personally raised 4th prince, so it’s understandable their personalities are similar. Kids pick up their character from their parents or adult figure.

@@timothydewa9096 that’s what he was told to do by his mother, to win the courts support they thought they had to show off his potential as a strong skilled prince so he could seen as the best fit for future emperor, besides this is the royal court, you have to do things you might not want to do or don’t seem morally right to have a stable footing.

Hailan and Ruyi taught Yongqi to conceal himself from watchful eyes, but Hailan also tries to taught him to simply be a officer under Ruyi's son as she want her sister's son to be Crown Prince. Both to help Ruyi, and protect Hailan herself and Yongqi from harm. Too bad her son didn't listen to her words and died because of it.

Lady hai is great mother and consort. She never took selfish competition like many uptown consort, she knows her place that Yongqi is a son of fourth rank concubine, and empress is a legal with legitimate child to a successor of throne. What a rare good mother we found so far. Too bad in Yanxi movie, she wasn’t depicted as good as here...

She had a long live, (Yu fei/lady hai) her lifeline is based on history, too. She lived till old, but saddened as Ruyi/empress died. Also his son, Yongqi, died too during blossoming age of 25... 😢

@@timothydewa9096 she must be so lonely. She only ever care about ruyi and her son. She seduce the emperor to help ruyi, even letting ruyi take care of her own son since ruyi is not yet pregnant. Now all that she care of, all the people she sacrifice for is dead. I'm sad for her.

@@fishgul69 yes. She is so devoted to ruyi. If I'm not mistaken, after she gave birth to yong qi, she once was chosen to serve the emperor. But she was self-cautious because of the strechmark. And felt like the emperor won't like her anymore. But she told ruyi, it doesn't matter if the emperor doesn't like her. Its enough that she was able to have ruyi and yong qi in her life. But in the end she lost them both.

@@cherrylo1202 why don’t you suggest a word that has a similar meaning or that would be more appropriate and less offensive in your opinion? the only other words i can think of are also cuss words or the word witch. but the word witch could be interpreted into other things here that would not be in proper context.
