So you’re saying his abuse was warranted? To her and the children? Is she supposed to not have opinions have feelings etc. This guy abused her for 17 years. You don’t hit a woman or kids simply because she or the kids did something or said something. That’s not a healthy relationship. He may be alcoholic. Whatever the reason there is no excuse for physical abuse

@@marcuslee3409 I think you might want to go back and read what I actually said without putting your emotions into it. I specifically said "I DO NOT CONDONE the guy's actions, there were FAR better ways to handle it without violence...," and "A man should NEVER hit a woman." I agree with you "There is no excuse for physical abuse," but there is also no excuse for ANY kind of abuse (Mental and emotional), abuse is abuse regardless of the form it takes. If you remove your emotions and actually listen when she told HER side of the story, all of the blame is on the guy, she didn't accept any accountability or responsibility, she was always the victim, never the instigator. She said it would be months in between, meaning she was instigating his reaction, the guy restrained himself until he couldn't take it any more, AGAIN, there were better ways for him to handle it WITHOUT VIOLENCE. She even proved that in her own story, she said "He called for her son to come here, and she got involved and asked why and her son didn't have to go." She instigated making her responsible also, not JUST him, without instigating there would be no reaction, BOTH are accountable, but yet again, his reaction was WRONG, there are better ways to deal with it. Hitchen's Razor, "That which is asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence." You say "He MAY be an alcoholic," so it's not FACTUAL he is, and without evidence he is that can be completely disregarded and has no part in forming an opinion, unless you allow your feelings to replace logic and rational thought. As I told Leah, I'm interested in hearing the guys side of the story as well, even if he wants to have his identity hidden. Although I'm guessing his side will put more blame on her, but who knows he may actually accept accountability for his part too, but we'll only know if he tells his side. You can condemn the man's actions, as I have multiple times, but you can't condemn the man without knowing the TRUTH. If all you hear is "A man shot and killed someone," you condemn him for it, but when the full story comes out and you find out he did it because that person broke into their house and threatening his family, the guy's actions were justified and you were wrong to jump to conclusions and condemning him. I condemn the man's ACTIONS for physical violence, but not him as a person without knowing the full TRUE story. Having his AND her side won't reveal the complete truth, but it'll be closer to it than just 1 side of the story, and you'll have a much bigger picture to look at to make a more informed judgement, if you can leave feelings, emotions, and interjecting falsehoods out of it before making that judgement. One more time in case you missed it all the other times, I DO NOT condone his actions, a man should NEVER hit a woman, that's the reaction of replacing LOGIC with feelings and emotions, logically there were better ways to handle it.

Certainly wasn't expecting to see a comment like this, when every one else is nothing but pity and sympathy for her. Although I agree with everyone saying, "No man should ever hit a woman," at no point did she take accountability, she put all the blame on the guy, she was a perfect saint in all of it. As though the guy was a schizophrenic psychopath and would just flip out for no reason, not that she did anything to bring it on.
