She was held hostage as well as physically, psychologically, and medically abused by her mother. She deserves privacy and respect, not celebrity status or fame

This is so sad. She practically was brainwashed to believe she was critically sick. I've learned in the past that the more you say you're sick, the more likely you're body is going to be sick in order to kind of "balance" reality.

I feel so bad for her. I was physically, verbally, sexually, mentally/psychologically, and emotionally abused when I was younger and if people did this with me, I would be so mad because basically they’re just invalidating her and invading her privacy. Tbh they’re not better than her mother and they need to just leave the poor girl alone.
@@Johnnieguilbertissocoolll There is NO such thing as being sentenced to jail for life or murder, jail is county. Murder is a crime against the state, you can only be sentenced to prison. Jail is NOT prison. She did not get out of jail.
And the fact Gypsy herself said no one would ever hear her say she thinks her mom deserved it and that she thinks her mom deserved to be in prison instead 😞

Honestly I feel like the primary reason why she had to go with murder is because of the power of attorney. Even if her boyfriend did break her out and they ran away it would be treated as a kidnapping. The police would find her bring her back to her mother arrest the boyfriend and put him in jail where he can no longer help. As far as she was aware she was declared mentally incompetent, so even if she did tell the cops that hey, no, all this was happening and he was helping, they wouldn't believe her. So for her, being in her position, killing her mother probably really did feel like the only way out.
Exactly, now while I don't condone murder people who act like Gypsey Rose orchestrated the death of her mother for the sake of it really need to remind themselves what kind of situation she was in. The medical system failed her and in doing so took her voice away.

As a child who was abused (physically, emotionally, verbally, sexually, religious, etc) I can say this is not what should be happening If I killed my abuser to escape & didn't get help in time. Then went to prison, I think this would make me so stressed. Finally thinking I am free however, end up being trapped in the spotlight.
I just don't get why people are now backstabing when they actually got what they wanted, she's finally out ! I've been following this case since it has been going on and people were screaming how unfair it was to put her in prison calling her an inocent but now they're litteraly cyber bullying her...
This is really messed up, her mom was messed up. She does not needed to be pit on a throne because she killed her mom, but sheilded and private, because she served her time.
Something I wanted to talk about rq since social media made her famous SOME people are now claiming that “oh she’s an attention seeker she’s making videos about her abuse!” Even though all that gypsy rose makes are blog videos on TikTok I swear people always do this people make something famous then being framing them for something they did in the past or something they didn’t do at all it’s pretty sad seeing people go after her for something she didn’t do since she’s genuinely a sweet person and they need to give her some space since she’s still recovering from her abuse and stuff (sorry if I didn’t make sense not good with grammar! D:)

This is all crazy, glad you reacted to this ❤. My mom was friends with Claudine but had broke their friendship before Gypsy was born and when I found out I was shocked. I'm so glad Gypsy is doing better and living normal. But I also agree with you Shooshi that she shouldn't be treated like a celebrity bc she killed her mom..it makes me highly sick seeing all these edits of her as if it was "badass".
Man, this type of thing really does write a person's future and how they act/believe. I wish Gypsy well, even if she seems a bit iffy, I do not blame her at all for any of that. Though, not sure if people should be doing edits and stuff of her, murder is still bad even with the things she went through. I dunno, would you organize a murder for someone like that?
As a survivor as Leukemia I felt very offended that her mom was forcing the doctors to believe that she had a diagnosis. Like the trauma you can get from chemotherapy still scars me.

She is a terrible person, not a survivor.
I can't believe I just came across this page, cuz I was just watching the series about them like a few weeks ago.. yes there's a series, it's called "the act".. You can find all the perspectives of the entire crime, and I think if the neighbor hadn't told the police about gypsy's secret face book account and meeting some guy, than the investigation may have taken longer, or they coulda got away with the crime since she could easily change her identity, and we wouldn't even know what that guy could do to gypsy.... But honestly, I'm glad she's changed and lives a better live :)
No I'm so sorry but I don't feel bad for the mother at all, I'm sorry really i am, but her mother was emotionally and physically abusing her and even though killing the mother didn't have to be the choice they made, I still don't feel bad for her dieing.
My mom works in the O.R. now, but she used to work as a pediatric nurse. She experienced a case where a mother was medicating her child and abusing them similar to this. Munchausen syndrome is awful.

If you ever want to look into Gypsy Rose's story again, I highly recommend Swoop's directories/videos on the matter, cause she goes into detail about her mom's past, the boyfriend and how he may have also possibly been manipulated by Gypsy into murdering her mother as he was also not a fully mentally sound/had special needs (I couldn't think of a nice way of putting this so sorry if it offends). And also about some warning signs about Gypsy's current life and relationship with her BF/Husband where she MAY be repeating the cycle of manipulation and abuse.

When they say that Dee Dee had Munchousens by proxy, some people might sympathise with Dee Dee, but it's important to note that Dee Dee didn't believe Gypsy had these conditions, she knew they were made up. In fact, in the UK, Munchousens by proxy is no longer considered a psychological illness, but instead a form of abuse In fact, the person who made the term wasn't even a psychologist. He was a pathologist called Roy Meadow who was caught making up statistics and a Meadow's law which had no basis. He also lied about causes of death, such as saying that it was astronomically unlikely that 2 kids from the same affluent family would die of SIDS, even though there was a genetic component and also leaving out or lying about parts of autopsies, which lead to many mothers being convicted of murdering their children. If I recall correctly, out of all the mothers he helped convict of murder, only one of them was actually guilty. So yeah, don't believe any theory that comes out of Roy Meadow

The way that the internet responded to everything was hella weird. Almost everyone is treating her like she’s still a child. But that’s exactly what her mother wanted. She’s a grown woman and she wants to be treated like a woman, SHE WAS IN JAIL. She’s not a lil kid. also she hated that she had to kill her mom. The whole “the bitch is dead”. She said that when she was in a horrible position. and everyone is using that as “iconic”. Her mother who SHOULD HAVE PROTECTED HER was the one DESTROYING HER. It just shows you how much people don’t actually gaf abt people.
One of my family members told me about a story(idk if they were Fr or nah) it was abt a girl and like, her mom would give her a iPad and lock her up in the dark. One day she left and went to her older sister next door, and she would p1ss on plastic plates, cuz she would be too scared to go to the bathroom as she said that she saw A tall black figure with white glowing eyes, NO pupils at all. When her sister told the mother, took the lil girl and locked her up and kept hitting her until she had red asf marks. It was like a five yr old..Her mom would ask her to go to the grocery and get food items to cook,but would she feed her? NOOO-( she would give her a tiny bit☹️) I don’t think this real, but if it is, Everyone deserves good parents
A person who didn't necessarily lie about having a shitty immunity here! I had alot of issues going to school because of being bullied, while my immunity was shit, I mainly stayed home because either I was sick or I couldn't get up in the morning because of the bullying. I eventually grew up with the lie "shitty immunity" as the excuse on why i stayed most of the time home. It was a sorta lie sometimes. So yeah, if you grow up with being told that you're sick like this then yes, you will eventually believe it too.
