true but also…what kind of leverage would the kid have during high school when their “special” relationship started? like to be able to manipulate the father? no way the dad was drunk AT A HIGH SCHOOL PROM right? so being under the influence is out of the question most likely. dad is POSSIBLY also in the wrong for however it started but that's where he then 100% becomes a victim of his son

"Its js love, dad" its manipulative. The son is blaming his dad for what he didnt do. He's being narcissistic.
@honeybunny244
@honeybunny244 11 месяцев назад
From what I understand, the dad was in shock when it happened. The son forced himself onto his own dad cuz it seemed he could easily overpower his own father, so he basically gr@ped him. I think the dad wasn't even aware that his son was in love with him or know that his son lusted after him. He didn't even see the picture at the beginning if I remember correctly. A lot of SA victims enter in a state of shock when they're forced to do something and you don't even react. It's like when somebody brings up the argument: "They didn't say no" Just because they didn't say no doesn't mean it's a yes. Imagine picking your son up from a prom night and he suddenly forces himself upon you, overpowering you and leaving you with such harsh physical and emotional scars. Or worse, he basically manipulates you and coerced you into doing it. For all we know, the son probably threatened him with saying that he could tell everyone that his father touched him inappropriately and nobody would believe him to be innocent, but that's just my theory. You'd also be in a state of shock. And the fact that the son said: "something that you started." I don't think the dad started it. He was completely paralyzed in fear and entered in a panicked state whenever he heard his son coming near his office. Nobody and nothing can prepare you for that kind of situation. How we think we would react is not exactly how we would react. You have to go through the shock, the grief, the mourning of that relationship, the confusion and the feeling of being completely violated by your OWN SON. The son is basically blaming him for his own twisted love when the dad was talking about the masturbation, that it was normal for boys his age and that his hormones were basically going haywire. The son misunderstood that and took it in a literal way, probably thinking that his dad went through the same thing, which maybe caused him to be more bold. The dad was innocent, imo. He went through a rollercoaster of emotions all because of a simple misunderstanding and paid the price for it.
@shooshiMooshi
@shooshiMooshi 11 месяцев назад
yeah that’s the thing. none of us know exactly what happened on the night of prom or whenever they first “did it”. maybe the dad was coerced or manipulated (probably the most likely). but yeah we don’t know 100%. all we can do is speculate. if a 25 year old guy had intercourse with a 16-18 year old girl and then he says that she forced herself on him. i’m obviously still starting off on the 25 year olds side, but more information is needed just to be safe. we’d all need to know information like, was the younger person stronger than them, did they blackmail, manipulate etc. that specific night was left out of this movie unfortunately :/. but yeah after that night, it’s no longer a mystery that the dad is 100% innocent

Ok. This 'it was the dads fault' Is making me feel gross. It is 100% possible for someone younger to assault someone older. Yes! I have heard cases of child on parent DV, it's clearly an awkward position to be in, like where do you start in calling your offspring out as an abuser? How and when could this have begun is something to dwell on. Do you keep it to yourself to not? You will compromise your child and upset other family if you don't keep quiet, or do you speak and who do you reach out to? No matter what the family is ruined, the fault lies with the abuser who is all in it for themselves but the victim will always have to answer for it. People exploit others natures, this movie is a clear case of that. This dad was sweet natured, IRL I have a friend who was in a DV relationship with a man (before we met) who come across as the nicer one in the relationship because she was a loudmouth tomboy who used to fight a lot when she was a kid, he was beating her and she would lie and say she was injured in accidents, when she did speak out people bought his argument of self defense.

@shooshiMooshi
@shooshiMooshi 11 месяцев назад
no yeah i need to make clear that EVERYTHING IM SAYING OR SPECULATING is on a MICRO scale. aka i’m focusing on only this video/film/scenario. i’m not speaking on a MACRO scale, aka ALL male victims of SA. i’ve always believed that men can get SA’d too. i just raised questions about the first night they EVER had sexual contact which was when the son was possibly 16-18 years of age. asking questions doesn’t mean you’re doubting or blaming :). just like how you’d ask questions if it came out that a 25 year old guy had intercourse with a 16-18 year old girl and then he says that she forced herself on him. i’m obviously still starting off on the 25 year olds side, but more information is needed just to be safe. information like was the younger person stronger than them? Did they blackmail or manipulate etc? that specific night was left out of this movie unfortunately :/. but yeah after that night, it’s no longer a mystery that the dad is 100% without a doubt innocent also yeah some of my jokes were tone deaf. when i said things like “grow a pair and beat him up/stop him”, i’m not saying that to ALL MALE VICTIMS IN *REAL LIFE*. i basically said that more so to bully that monster of a son and pray for his downfall with chat. i wanted the son to face consequences sooo bad. i have a habit of getting too hyper on stream because i want to entertain y’all, but i need to balance wanting to be an entertainer, with being mindful. because yeah my ACTUAL understanding and analysis of the video was ALWAYS that the dad is the victim and was simply afraid of his abuser and of public perception which is what happens to irl victims! male or female

“The mom never did anything” From what I saw, it seemed more as though the mother was in denial of it happening. She didn’t believe it- probably because she had to find out on her kid’s *wedding day* that he was abusing the father like this. No parent wants to believe their child is capable of being a monster. It was probably the same case for the dad as well- he didn’t want to believe his son was going to hurt him.

This movie is a great exemple of the fact that sexual abuse and rape can go to both women and men. And also young and old people. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the son literally forced himself upon his own father. Which sticks to the topic of the movie; which is anything related to sexual interactions. Despite this being absolutely sickening, its a good short movie with the way it tells people that sometimes age has nothing to do when it comes to abuse. This happens in real life cases aswell, or in the internet, people will always blame the older person in scenarios like this. While this might be true at most times, its still a blind assumption. There are evil kids in this world. There are naive adults. Minors are very capable of manipulating adults, even their own parents or relatives. This is something that should be seen and understood

THIS!!! I'm writing a novel that's will shed light onto this as well as other things. The novel takes place in the German Empire in the year 1890 and is about a 16 year old duchess who's a cambion (half human, half demoness) and seeking revenge after her parents are murdered. The main character is sweet and some people are easily manipulated by her because she's a girl and during that time, it was believed that a girl wasn't capable of committing a crime, let alone killing somebody. Ariesia (who goes by the alias "Bellina" to protect her identity and is the main character) is really sweet however she won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to get the info she needs. Her being 16, a girl, and a duchess won't stop her from avenging her late parents ❤

Where your body and mind is frozen so you’re unable to really talk or react in any way. Imagine being hit on by your son, That could cause a freeze reaction. It was SA wether the sons age, role in the family or gender. The son was at fault, and the dad’s reaction was normal as many SA victims experience the same freeze state.

I wished that not everyone started to make videos about serious stuff as a way to get views if they can't be mature and empathetic enough themselves to talk correctly about these kind of things. The movie is about incest. A dad is being raped bu is son. If it was the other way around, no one would say that the person being raped by a family member is "letting it happen" and "as guilty and fucked up" as the raper.

My theory is that the son “loved” his dad MUCH more than his mom. He thought that his parents had a loveless marriage. I don’t think the dad is 100% innocent but I do think that the son is more in the wrong. I think the son manipulated the dad and had an unhealthy obsession with him which lead to him loving him in a non normal way. The dad was probably ashamed and embarrassed to the point where he felt like he couldn’t talk about it, like many SA victims. I think during the 14 years the dad may have tried to stop it but never be able too. He wrote the book as a way to finally speak up and share his story, as it’s very hard for people in that situation to talk about it. Edit : This was just my initial thoughts , so if some things I said don’t make sense I’m sorry . Yes the dad probably was a creep to his son at the beginning but at the end of the day everything is left up for speculation

The shock and the way this could effect a parent is indescribable especially when adding how emotionally manipulative the son was. My ex used to freeze up whenever his mother touched him and I saw once that she was touching him in a way that I realize that in intimacy he told me that turned him on and I didnt know his mother touched him that way also he told me he used to pee himself when he was little but not so little, I know that happens when you are being abused, he left me because she said so also he has a very weird relationship and almost obsession with his sister, the mother and sister are narcs and he i feel like he treats his girlfriends bad bc in intimacy it seems like he is sex...abusing you, like overpowering you and forces you and his face is of total anger and always says that woman are whores and skanks if they are not virgins and that he wants to dominate hi gf in bed. His mother and sister didnt like me at all and it happened with all of his gfs, in all of his break up stories the reason is always the mom and sister most likely the mom and she told me that he cant have a wife bc her and her daughter are his priority like he is her husband, she didnt even want for him to take me out I had to give him gas money for that to happen yet she was jealous and his sister wanted everything he gave me, she even has the same clothes that he gifted me but with different color, they are weird, the sister has no personality and is a fake and shallow person, the mother only accepted me at first bc of $$$ and treated me like a housemaid 24/7 and Im in debt bc of her and after taking everything from me she convinced him to leave me (I talked to his "toxic" ex afterwards and she told me the mother tried to kill herself to break them up and was a violent person she even destroyed his car so he wouldnt go out with her and bc that didnt work out she took a lot of pills to kill herself and she survive but she kept saying she was going to die and in the end she won bc my ex left his former gf and after a lot of years I entered his life and the same story only that this time the mother said I was going to die, that woman is sick and I feel like she did abused him also she was abusive towards her late husband rip, he had that look of someone that saw horrible things you know like the people that come back from war, thats the look he had in his eyes and my ex cried in his sleep)

You do realize that even if someone is physically and mentally "bigger" that doesn't mean they have the mental power to stop someone. How you feel mentally is how you feel physically it's either fright or flight. Everyone can flight but in fright you cant. I am always the bigger person but there are some times where I freeze up or just let ppl talk abt me or talk to me wrong instead of telling them to stop. Now I ain't never gone through something like this. But there are times where the shock and fear takes over. If I had a child like this I would tell them stop, but stuff like this you just can't say "hey that's not okay" when they are over the age of elementary and are teens that's something you can't just say stop and no one wants to put their hands on their kids no matter how hard it is and considering that the dad is getting older and weaker and the son is only getting stronger and bigger, what more can you do? Plus with all the gaslighting and manipulation on top of both being men.

R@pe is r@pe. Even if the minor is the one forcing themselves onto the adult. There was a case some what similar to this in my town that happened a few years back when I was a kid, I remember hearing a lot of news reports about it and revisited it recently. There was this teacher who was just a 26 year old woman. She was very kind to all her students but one of her students took her kindness as affection and tried to make a move on her. She rejected immediately but the student didn’t like that and forced himself on her. She was a weak woman and was underweight but she says that she believes she might have been able to grab something around and hit him with it and it could buy her sometime to run but the overwhelming fear she felt stopped her from even screaming. All she could do was stay still and cry in pain. I’m not going to go too into the details because her description of what had happened was horrifying. This continues because the student threatens to tell people that she was the one who started this and that he had wanted no part in it till she had started to use his grades against him. He made it out that she was the manipulative one when in reality he was the one manipulating and blackmailing her, he would take photos of her in certain positions to further overpower her. This would go on for 4 years or so and the student would go to college but the student would still maintain the toxic relationship until he decided to release the photos and the school the teacher worked at found out. She was then fired and put under investigation. The photos showed a lot of signs of no consensual sexu@l activity which were used as evidence for her r@pe. There was other evidence such as a video showing the r@pe. Despite the clear evidence of r@pe and she clearly did not want to do anything with the student, she was listed as a s*x offender and went to prison for around 6 months. Her punishment was lighter since she was a woman but the student even though they did find clear and definitive evidence for the r@pe, the prime piece being the video that showed there was no consent, the student wasn’t charged with anything since what had happened was considered a mistake and let him off to not spoil his athletic scholarship. The woman was never able to show her face in our town again and she moved after getting out of prison doing whatever she may. The father was definitely manipulated and likely upon the first occurrence of his son’s abuse he was over taken in such a state of shock that he couldn’t move or defend himself. His age might also have a play since his son was in high school and probably stronger than a 40-50 year old man who already seems so caring towards his son that hurting him or his son hurting him would be out of the question and just impossible in the poor father’s eyes. The father was an oblivious prey during the first interaction. He became a victim after that. Sorry if it’s hard to read, English isn’t my first language.

It's not easy to just tell people that someone's been doing something to you for a long time, and trying to tell his wife through his writing is something I really related with,,,,,, I'm certainly not mad but just hope that you could educate yourself a little more on the complexity victims feel. okay just to clarify. dude i 1000% am on the dads side in this movie. i have empathy and when i said "just tell the wife" on stream, that was just me messing around with chat. I know that speaking out against your abuser is one of the scariest things a victim can do. The only question I raise is, was the dad 100% innocent on the first night they ever had sex when the kid was 16-17 years old? maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. that's all and im pretty sure all of us are dying to know how exactly that night played out. I think it draws the line on how people shouldn't blame the victim. Adults would have done everything to make a young child do good but still turn out bad. This short movie really gave you that insight on how heavy it is for a victim to be a kid or an adult just as much as how the abuser CAN ALSO be the kid or an adult. It's a tragic story of a family that has been broken for many reasons. Because when abuse comes into a picture, no matter how you can see the colours and strokes ABUSE is still ABUSE. Blaming is the next part of the abuse, who's in the wrong? It's obvious we can point it at the son that easily since he's the one that coerce the dad. We could end the discussion with that. But people forget that the people who were silent were also part of it. The mother knew all along but refused to report it or push away the son and even worse REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE it. The dad probably had his shortcomings during his guidance on his son, but it's not to be a reason for him be punished for it or be blamed of the abuse just from that. Ps. Shoosh, it's alright. I get how you confused on the details, it has big loops and plots that we wouldn't know.

So yeah its been confirmed this short film is about the abuse of children at the hands of their parents (in this case, the father) However its message is made more shocking by switching the role of the father with the son. Thats why in the end of the story, the son was wearing the clothing of the father. For the whole story, the son was in the role of the adult and the adult was in the role of the minor. Thats why the power imbalance was so prominent and confusing.

This reaction is kinda distasteful at parts.. The blaming of the father, asking why he doesn’t just “beat” him, talking about throwing away the book. Rape is rape no matter who’s the victim, just because he has the authority over his son (being the parent) doesn’t mean he has full control of the situation. Of this was reversed (parent on child abuse) this reaction would not come off the same way

this scene at 14:30 speaks levels to me. if you can notice the aireal view shows us the entirety of the bathroom: all of its corners and walls. notice the lack of windows or alternate doors. its supposed to make you feel trapped, to show you that there was nowhere for the dad to escape. it helps emulate the feelings of being trapped and helpless, like many SA victims describe themselves feeling. the same thing was noticeable in the boy's room: one solitary window. he had the chance to back out, but he didn't. it looked as if he was the helpless one, but it turns out he was the true manipulator. 18:51 I really disagree that the dad should've stopped it, because to me, it really seems like he never instigated anything himself, and was abused from the start (a common way to victim blame is to say that the victim "started it" or "seduced" the abuser), it kind of hurts to see so many comments say that the dad should've done something because (at least to me) the dad was too scared to fight back from the very beginning; it is far harder to fight back when YOU are the one in his position and the fear you feel when you are in his place is very real, I love this film for portraying that so well

I actually heard that the roles were reversed on purpose to get a reaction from the audience. It flips the dynamic of SA that goes on in families. In the film the dad is the one getting assaulted and the son is the abuser. While more realistically the dad would be the abuser and the son would be the victim. A lot of ppl found the film funny which is not surprising considering that male SA is often played for laughs.
@five.is.da.best.numba..
@five.is.da.best.numba.. 7 месяцев назад
I’d say the film is less about the double standards of male SA (which is still a problem btw) and more about the double standard of the abuser being younger than the victim.

i feel like this movie is a graphic way of showing the abusive relationships some parents have with their kids but to make it more shocking the roles are reversed, that's why the dad couldn't leave or even talk back(kids with abusive parents are enabled to be independent by their parents to leave them no choice but to stay with them) and why the mom tried to ignore it even if she could stop it(the other parent often doesn't say anything even if they're aware of their kids being mistreated because of fear). the son also was emotionally manipulating the dad by making his feel guilty(in this case he would be guilty because he should had the power to stop him but abused kids don't have the power to do anything) the ending is the saddest part because the dad ran to his d3ath(could be a way to portray how abused kids feel like svic1de is the only option) and the mom burnt the book because it was the only way the truth could come out and she didn't want to deal with the shame or guilt(parents often keep their kids svic1de letters a secret to avoid guilt)

Okay, Shooshi was super confused abt why the dad would write a 300 page book instead of just telling his wife what the son was doing to him and i present to you this. The part of cocoon man we could read states he couldnt repremaind his son bc he found himself just as guilty. If thats the case why would he be able to tell his wife? But it is mentioned that he is a poet (when the son says "from a poet i expected more eloquence") so i would assume writing is his safe space. It is hard to speak out abt this shit, especially if you think it was your fault. But he had a medium to express himself. (I have no clue how he wrote 300 pages, i think he tried to apologize to his wife and explain the events and how what happened happened.) Also asking how the dad could "let" this happen to him was not very cash money of you shooshi >:{

I don't think the shock people are having is in regards to it being male on male assault. We're past that. The shock is about it being child on parent assault, which is much less talked about. Since most abusers in these age gaps are older, we've become used to excuses that the minor was just manipulative or evil. So we're initially blaming the father as the more responsible one who "should've denied the interaction", as is commonly said. Add the incredulity of incest from the child to the parent, with seemingly no origin of trauma. As the story is unraveled, we find the previous statement isn't always true, and meeker older people who dislike conflict could also be abused by younger people. This story really spins these expectations on its head.
