Wow! The best part was a family loving their child with some good clean fun on the beach. This is just wonderful. I wish all children could have such positive family experiences.
I am 67. Growing up fishing was my favorite thing to do. My dad would take me to the “country”. I would dig earthworms and use a cane pole in a farm pond. Those are priceless memories. You are doing the same. Great job!
I believe fishing is a something that unites people. It has been my lifetime pastime. I will fish anywhere, for anything. It doesn’t matter if I catch anything, I don’t even need to have a hook on the end, I can tie on a pice of coloured yarn and see if I can attract fish. There so many people that should be properly introduced to sport angling. You don’t need expensive gear, you don’t have to take any fish if you don’t feel like it. Fishing unites generations, and cultures. I get a charge out of seeing how people that are very different join together when “fishing” is the common ground! Good on you BBB for helping spread the word, and its cool to see the ladies get a charge from getting out!
@@peterparsons7141 I fish sometimes and when going for flatheads I only get small ones, my 2nd flat head was 4 cms big, any tips on how to get the bigger ones?
I'm a "young" 50, and I too dug earth worms, but we rode our bikes to the local river to fish for carp in Illinois. Now I'm living in central east coast Florida. I love those old memories, but the New memories I'm making, now that's called living in the present. :-)
I can't believe how quickly your daughter is growing up! She is so adorable! She's going to be a very good fisherwoman!!! I think I started fishing at about 9 years old....in streams and creeks in the mountains of southern New Mexico. I still love fishing with my great grandfather's fly rod. It's a true antique, from around the early 1900's.
The memories you guys are making with your daughter she will cherish when she's older. Thanks for sharing those with us. Some of my best memories with my grandchildren were taking them fishing. My granddaughter turned 40 last fall. My plan is to teach her three daughters how to fish. The Lord willing I have a few years left . At 81 my time is in his hands..Grandpa Jack
Watching the excitement of your daughter when she caught a fish brought back memories of when my kids were young. My daughters first fish was a tiny catfish. Nothing would do her but taking it home and even calling PawPaw to come and take pictures of it. First time I took my son fishing he caught 5 bluegills that I had to stringer and bring home. He laid them on a stump and went in the house to use the bathroom and we ate before taking my wife out to see his catch. He ran out to them and as we came out of the house he was crying holding the stringer. All that was there were 5 heads. A couple stray cats made a meal of them!! My son became quite the fisherman, even ditching his Senior Prom to go fishing with his buddies. Now I take my grandkids fishing and my 9 year old grandson (like his Uncle) has became quite the fisherman and hunter. So proud of him ❤️❤️

You make a lot of great videos. This was one of the best. Capturing your daughter's first "All by myself" fish is awesome. You realize in a year or two, she will be completely outfishing you.
I cant wait to get back to the beach and do this with my lil girl. I will admit i was hoping to see some big drum but seeing her catch 2 on her own was worth it.
She is so adorable. I have 4 grown girls, married in college and only 2 have gone fresh water fishing with me. None have been saltwater fishing. Would love to get them to do that.
You have a beautiful family. Cherish these moments. All but 1 of my kids lost interest in fishing with me. My 10 year old girl still wakes up early with me to go fishing while the other 2 rather sleep in. Hope your little girl stays passionate about it for a long time.
WTG Mathew; all my kids and grandkids love to fish all because I kept it simple and fun like my Dad did for me, I love your patience and focus when your dealing with your daughter too many people are preoccupied with whatever they are doing sometime and it shows .God bless you and your Family

Fun video! Great to get your daughter into fishing at such a young age. For ceviche, in lieu of chips, try crisp romaine, or thin slices of jicama or chayote or apples, or try celery. All healthier than chips and all good!
Hey Beach Bum, here's a contest I would like to see for you and your buddies. Beach fishing with cane poles! I actually do that quite a bit and it's great for whiting etc. Really challenging is you get a red etc. Tip. When using cane pole at the beach, tie on about 25' of line, back away from the water about 18', coil the line on the ground, start running toward the water and fling it out there. When a fish hits, you have to hand line it or back up. Try it. You might get hooked on it. It's a blast!

I remember talking my kids night fishing off the bridge north of Palm Coast, Fl. With the wife. Was great times. Now the kids are all grown up. On the 2 oldest boys still like to fish.
