Kouri Richins and Eric Richins were married for almost a decade, until Eric tragically passed of an overdose in 2022. A year later, Kouri Richins released a book on dealing with grief. However, it would ultimately be determined that Kouri had allegedly poisoned her husband, all because he was cutting her out and didn't want to buy a house. And this was not the first time...

You forgot to mention she threw a party _the day after her husband died,_ and didn't tell the guests he was dead. Her husband's family showed up at the "party," told her she wasn't getting jacksh*t from the will, and she attacked his sister. Even now, _from prison,_ she's arguing through her attorney she's entitled to her late husband's estate. Truly, a fine example of Humanity in its purest form.

For those curious how she reacted, I found this on KPCW: It was then that Eric’s sister told Kouri she was the trustee, suggesting Kouri had no right to get into the safe. Eric made his sister, not Kouri, the beneficiary of his $500,000 personal life insurance policy without his wife’s knowledge. Prosecutors say Kouri was “enraged,” and punched her sister-in-law in response. She was subsequently charged with assault and pleaded no contest to a class B misdemeanor.

There was a middle aged woman at my church from when I was a kid. She had like six husbands in the past and all of them had died. Not joking. I knew two of them and they seemed like normal healthy middle age guys. She got so much sympathy from everyone for how hard her life was, and one time when I joked in private with my brother that she probably was killing her husbands, I got scolded and grounded. Looking back it's like...there's just no way that they all died of natural causes, statistically speaking. Very creepy.

@@jezistar1881 thank you. July 31 will be the first anniversary of her passing. I'm not looking forward to it. I keep telling myself that I'll start feeling better eventually. Sometimes it feels like eventually will never come. I heard the late Queen Elizabeth use the term Annos horriblous, the horrible year. She was referring to the year Lady Spencer got killed in the car crash. I'm hoping July 31 will be the end of my Annos Horriblous. I don't want to go into explaining everything but just let me say 8 days after my love had left, I found myself in ICU with no will to live. Not saying I really wanted to die, hard to explain, I guess I just really didn't care one way or the other. By a strange string of events I ended up on the phone with my little brother's wife, who is also one of my dearest closest friends. It occurred to me that should I die, she'd be devastated. That short chat with her changed everything. Suddenly I wanted to live and it's truly amazing how fast I started to heal. Not mentally but physically. If not for the fact that the hospital's phone ended up in my hand and my bro's phone number being one of only two I actually remember because he's had that same number since before cell phones were common. If not for that, I probably wouldn't be writing this. Sorry for going on so long. It's a subject that I rarely talk about but probably should if ya get my meaning. Thanks again.

Would threaten to kill me in my sleep for flushing the toilet too loudly for example. Had to spend months sleeping with my bedroom door locked, keeping an eye on my food, and calling to police on a weekly basis over physical abuse towards myself and our pets, and death threats. Meanwhile I was working, paying all the bills and trying my best to let her stay until the housing situation calmed down. Eventually she exploded over our cats meowing too loudly, attacked them, and I had to restrain her until the neighbors called the police. She was removed from the apartment and I haven't seen or spoken to her directly since. She made bail and fled the state. I live in constant fear to this day

Knowing you'd get no credit for a book's success, wasn't it a little tempting to make it a little crappier than necessary? You know (sorry, about that), wouldn't you be compelled or motivated to produce a better book if you knew it was going to carry your name? A lot of books by famous people will credit the ghost writer (i.e. "as told to," or "by so and so with so and so.") It had to be hard to work in complete anonymity. Someone getting a doctorate based on your efforts seems pretty shady of the newly made Dr. Whoever. I respect your quitting.
@MegCazalet
@MegCazalet Год назад
@@andrewpereira9271 Writing lazy work would’ve actually made it a slog. I had to enjoy it, and the only way to enjoy it was to do something I was proud of. Plus it was still my work, and doing a good job was the way to get better clients and better money, etc. I wasn’t near the tier of “with” or “as told to” credit. That is a huge level of success for a ghostwriter. Being free to do a lot of my own creative effort made it bearable. The doctorate lady literally sent me all her raw material from work on cross-curricular education and basically left the rest to me. Some of it was fun. Average wealthy people like to hire ghost writers for their projects that make them feel cool and important. I was the editor of two lifestyle magazines, in Malibu and Aspen, that some guy just wanted to publish so he could put his other rich society friends in a glossy magazine and sell it to them (making big money from those same friends paying for ad space in it). I wrote a book for a guy involved in an infamous 2000s scandal that wasn’t Enron. I also got to travel, which was cool. I wrote a commercial that I got to see on tv. I still feel bad about the degree work - it was published in academic journals. It was legitimately wrong, but at the time, it was the way I paid my bills. I wish I had instead gone into museum work, which was my other career path option.

Sooo. Between her grief, the support of their children, the finances, the needs of the house, however, within a year she wrote a very bought book/bio. One would say suspiciously, that he had already begun to write it, from the very first attempt against him. People, I mean murderers, think they have IQ and can fool 3 police officers, who solve such cases is butter in their bread. Greetings from Athens, Greece. ❤

I'm so tired of attitudes like this. People like you are the _exact_ reason many abused people (male or female) feel an immense stigma and an inability to reach out for help. The judgement is overwhelming. Unless you've been in a relationship like that you do not know. Do you not think he was possibly afraid that if he left his abusive wife would be able to win custody of his children? Maybe he was afraid for their safety if they were to be with her without him there. I know I would be terrified of her winning full custody (especially if I were a man with the common court bias against men in custody cases). We can be confused about the actions people in abusive situations may take but we don't need to voice them so callously (or at all tbh) and we can still have empathy. He paid for his decisions with his life...that is more than enough punishment.
