I'm Navajo now elderly....in my early years about 17 to 19 ish My dad & mom use to work at local Trading post they worked as butchers and searing sheep...on weekends my dad and I use shear sheep with clippers no electric clippers...it was hot and lots of tick we'd have to tie our sleeves it was hard work! My dad died in 2005 my mom passed in 2000. But you shearing sure brings lots of memories... thank you both for what you do. ... I'm in my 60's and not good health. ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰
i think my favourite part of watching your videos is seeing a pattern the animals have under all the fur. will they be one solid colour or have tiny spots? who knows :D
OMG YES! I’m so happy to hear this because it’s one of my fav parts. After 12 years I can pretty much guess what’s down there, but it’s like unwrapping a Christmas gift 😍
@@rightchoiceshearing I think people get soo hypnotized, they miss the like button. Im probably guilty of it. Two hot gals, and some trippy fur patterns.... I also like vacuuming and mowing the lawn, for those perfect rows. 🥰
Can you compile a bunch of videos like this totalling about 2 hours, please. This is so incredibly relaxing. I could really fall asleep to this. Thank you!!! 😴😴😴
Interesting - just realized the llama shearing pattern seems to go with the direction the hair grows. A lot of the sheep shearing patterns shear the belly from front to back, but do their backs, from rump to head. In any case, these seemed to be very pleasant, relaxed critters enjoying the buzz of the shears and the feel of air on their skins for the first time in quite a while!
I love to watch your shearing of the animals. I love your comments, and how you also educate people at the same time. Just eating the videos is so relaxing.
Love your channel! So interesting & fun. Love your attitude and voice over comments, too! You two work hard for the money, that's for sure. Really enjoying your backlist and looking forward to your videos to come.
I could watch this all day ………oh wait I have been watching all day. Sometimes the same videos over and over. Super satisfying and very pretty too. 🥰 stay safe
Very satisfying to watch u shear that warm fluff but even more, I love that pinstripe pattern left and by the look of them strutting around after ur done looks like they r happy with the new doo too.
All of the wool you sheared in this video was so beautiful! I found myself wishing I could purchase it for knitting or crochet projects. Love your videos!💚💚💚
I’m new to your channel but I’m hooked! It’s fascinating how you can get the wool off in one blanket (usually) and the coloring and patterns revealed are so beautiful. I’m enjoying learning about the different animals and love watching you guys work. Thanks so much for sharing!
Absolutely beautiful! I love watching your videos! The fur is so beautiful and then you get to see the different colors of spots they have. I wish I had some of that fur because it looks so warm and fuzzy. I don't know what I'd do with it yet but I do lots of crafts and I'm sure if figure out something. 😸😸❤️❤️❤️ P.S. Your the only channel I watch that does what you do! Keep the awesome videos coming!
Thank you for posting these gorgeous videos of humane shearing. They put visions of stitches yet to be made in my dreams. My fiber artist fingers awake; ready to work those scrumptious fleeces into wearable art! ❤❤❤
I love watching the colors show as you shear! Such pretty babies!!! You make it look so easy, and I love how you comfort the animals as you go along! And I love how you narrate your videos. Esp when they wiggle for a comfortable position! Keep up the great work you two! Love you videos!!!! Do you ever have such a spooky animal you have to sedate them? Or tie/restrain them?
Fifty year old, straight, old, fat, out of shape office worker. But I love these videos so much I now want to be a shearer myself. 😉 😂 Keep up the great work. ♥️
Ohhhh I LOVE IT! Today I just asked you to make a video on this fornat, but to my surprise you already have one. I slowed the speed to 0,75x and have very relaxing time watching it ❤
I've been watching videos about how the alpaca and llama wool is cut since I knit with it. Love how you just shave them while they're standing! I get a bit bothered when I see the animal being restrained...looks like it would be scary for them.
Woah. The blanket off the sides of the first llama was so clean, soft, and silky it looked like multi-colored milkweed fluff. I just wanted to grab handfuls of it and rub my fingers through it. I'm betting that's a pet llama or show llama (is there such a thing? There must be...) I love seeing the coat patterns and thinking about the garments that will be made from all that wonderful floof. ❤
I have some llama yarn from a ranch in Oregon, but mainly I see alpaca yarn. Llama yarn is not always as soft but it does not stretch out like alpaca. Do any of the places you shear make the material into llama yarns?
I’m not sure why but I find this rather calming soothing if u will . It sounds strange but for me it does they can keep the decomp crawled up somebody ass and died smell but otherwise I’m good lol 😂
What do you think about using the wool that Noone want, and cleaning, drying and packaging it to be used as wall insulation? You could even insulate your truck to increase fuel efficiency when using heat or air conditioning.
I love your videos! How are you reaching the belly from the opposite side of the llama?????? Do you have any videos of how to do the llama legs? I finally got some shears and sheared my first alpaca (standing) yesterday. It was really fun but I could not figure out how to get to the inside of the legs!
I would think after they shear the lama they would wash them get all the dirt and bugs off the skin that's what I would do you know the lama would be so happy
Those clippers make a loud buzzing noise that could damage hearing after years of clipping. Hope you wear proper ear protection. Once hearing is lost it doesn't come back.
