Best tip for new naval players is to go into controls and bind the mouse wheel action in its drop down menu to vertical distance correcting as you will constantly be adjusting the vertical range to hit ships that are moving toward or away from you

Going to be playing the MC-490 with the two 40mm a lot during the event. The damage output is enormous.

Honestly for a long time I thought this class were paper ships I didn't know they actually existed. The rain of death looks very useful. Im guessing you're shooting for mississippi? Ill try to but im not in thr house this christmas. Finally, who's the better master, shimakaze or ayanami?

They weren't very well regarded and the history books are pretty thin on info for the class. I'll be aiming for Mississippi, usually pretty easy to knock the challenges over. 1 star every 2 days maybe if (wife) allows ill aim for the Aircraft reward too. I would have to pick Shimakaze, but my actual favorite Japanese DD is Yuudachi

Well thanks for the gameplay as this cruiser looks pretty good even in up BR'ed match those 6"/47DP Mk.16 guns will rekt house meanwhile those blowpipe 3"/50 Mk.22 guns will cause all the fires even if one of the more useless automatic artillery pieces in game imo. With those 3" guns I find if you have over four of them you can essentially continue to blast away even if the guns jam on each mount the others will continue until they jam themselves but at that point the others come back on line (Something I do with the destroyer JDS Ayanami DD-103). Hm maybe I should try the Douglas BTD-1 destroyer over the Vought F4u-1/4 Corsairs for a change as will they make for good light dive bombers/fighters the Destroyer gets all those nasty anti ship weapons like those Mk.13 mines. Say question you hear about the news about the 40k ban on botters & cheaters? Essentially an early Christmas present especially for NF where botting is so constant.

Yeah I'm calling the ban wave Banhammer 40k 🤣. From my basic gameplay I have seen alot less. The 3inch guns are just there to annoy your opponents to death a 7.0. They do decent work against 5.0 destroyers. If anything they help hide the main calibre shells, amongst the chaff. Making then harder to dodge.

I didn’t know you could damage bb’s with fuze HE I always tried to use AP or sap and couldn’t damage them😂 good thing to know👍

The 6inch Base fuze has a small amount of pen to get through decks and lightly armoured sections. If it fails to Penn it just acts like HE so it's superior to standard HE in my view.

naval has been such a bummer in war thunder but thanks to your content i am reminded there are fun times every now and then when dealing with the boring meta and sad failure of development and planning by the devs

@@CmdrTyrael Yeah I'm doing fine. I hope you too. It's possible you saw me since I grind for the USS Mississipi. Either with Russian costal 3.7 line-up or Japanese 4.0 Costal line-up. (Those line-ups are my sweet spot between high tier good multiplicator and easy point to get).

Nah light cruiser do well if played correctly. Our team wiped the BB's Remembering they are support ships and should be played as such

That's the very first nation I played! I had just beaten the Japanese in the Solomon's in Boat crew. So decided to reconquer them as the IJN. the game itself looks good. However its UI is a little clunky and it takes time to learn. I could see it being super fun once you can deploy the big fleet assets

I tend to prefer base fuse over standard. It has Pen and if it fails to pen acts like HE with the same amount of filler. It's most effective against light deck armour and Destroyers.

I dont understand how to play these circle maps. Once someone locks on to you, its a slugfest until the first one dies. Any tips? And what are your thoughts on the scherbakov? I got it last year but there is almost no content on it (because im probably the only one that got it hahaha)

Without double standard bs US' cruisers are ALL OP af, they're the most survivable and their firing rate is ridiculously fast, they can incapacitate any BB/Battle cruuser in no time

There is less chance, but I haven't worked out exactly HOW MUCH ammo is safe for this ship. The problem IMO is the amount auxiliary ammunition. There IS HEAPS 🤣

Cruisers of all types spawn together with capital ships, destroyers have their own spawn and coastal their own too.
