Living in Florida I am blessed to have shelly beaches nearby, however, in today's episode we go on a road trip to shell the infamous Shell Island in Panama City Beach, Florida. Located in Bay County, Florida, Shell Island can be reached via shuttle from St. Andrews Park. To plan for a trip like this be sure to book your tickets early enough to account for season peaks. Pack a bag with sunscreen, water and whatever else you want to carry on your 5 to 10 mile walk on this beautiful and uninhabited island.

Love PCB. We were there for Spring Break, and rented a pontoon to go to Shell Island..The waves were huge, but it was fun..We want to come back this Summer, and hoping the waters will be calm.

I have been here before and I loved it! I found at least 5 large sand dollars (whole) and several shells ! It was a great day and we saw dolphins on the way there and back.

I recently took a trip to Navarre beach and I took my gold mining pans. It has two metal grates with different size holes and it is perfect for shelling. Just take a huge scoop of sand, dump, and sift. The large shells are on top, medium/smaller in middle section, and sand with minis falls to the bottom. It changed my shelling experience. Thanks for the video. We are going to shell island in about six weeks and I’m so excited. It will be my first time and I LOVE shelling.

We love St. Andrews and Shell Island! It's also a great place to snorkel along the jettis. Have you ever been to Casperson Beach over near Venice? It's famous for sharks teeth. I found a couple of smallish ones when we were there. So I'm going to throw this out there and please do NOT read this as a negative comment. You might try pulling back the camera to capture more in the shot, it can be somewhat dizzying trying to watch also maybe put in more of the beach and waves as well, even though your focus is on shelling that water was Beautiful that day. Just a suggestion. Wife and I are headed that way in about 2 weeks. Can't wait! Thanks for sharing.😎😁

I was born in Panama City and always heard that there were snakes on Shell Island! Maybe they were trying to keep the treasure to themselves. Glad to know that their warnings were unfounded and their stories untrue! Thanks so much!

Arriving at PCB on 5/18 just a trip for myself and my mom! Definitely adding shell island to list of places to go. You say a 5-10 mile walk? Is island 10 miles long OR do you hit the walking amount for to the end and back?

Hi, I didn't check the map, however the shuttle service said something about 15 miles. All I know is if you 👣 3 hours from your drop off you have a 3 hour 👣 back. If you're blessed with a good shelling day you're probably only walking 2 to 3 miles an hour tops, and that would mean you're walkin 10 plus miles collectively. Enjoy. 🤙🌴😎
