Ben started it before that match mocking his opponents, in case you didn't or pretend to didn't know. It would show him being wise if he stopped, since it's a case of "they aren't laughing with you, they are laughing at you" no matter how you twist it.

usually the Umpire have to update the score on the machine as quickly as possible so the Data companies can broadcast the scores as quickly as possible.. so chances are high he is not seeing the player...

Half the comments saying this… korda was asked (and therefore given the opportunity to say no after that exchange) and he called the challenge anyway. Even if Shelton was acting with Machiavellian intent, it’s still Korda who thought it was out enough to call it. All’s fair. It didn’t seem to be devious and Korda was closer to the ball than Shel, so who knows

what a dumb rule by an unaware umpire, I don’t think I’ve ever heard any player audibly challenge something.. they just do the hand signal and the challenge is seen. Usually the crowd is cheering loudly so the umpire should be watching both players after a point ends with a possible challenge.

There is a double interpretation: 1) Shelton was sure it was in and so he made his opponent waste a challenge (and he also made a good impression) 2) he acted instinctively and out of fairness towards his opponent Personally, although I don't like him very much, I am inclined towards the second hypothesis and that therefore he was sincere, like a good boy who is playing against one of his compatriots (I don't know if they are also friends)

Il rinnovo di Perez in se non è incomprensibile. È un peccato per i Sainz e per chi ha valore e non riesce a dimostrarlo a pieno. Tsunoda sembra veramente bravo, Lawson uguale e con decine di piloti nelle categorie minori fai da tappo con Perez. Indubbiamente colui che ti porta piu sponsor visto che come compagno di Max non serve uno che gli tiene testa. Maybe he wanted the tie break to continue. Korda wanted the challenge and wasn't taking no for an answer. So Ben helped it along. Good sportsmanship. He helped korda get the challenge he wanted so badly. It didn't go his way, but that's Ben fault? Ben can't win.
