I noticed he twisted the door knob , after he knocked. He didn't mention he had a search warrant. She need to file a lawsuit against the police department.
yup, they'll try to open the door to see if they can charge you with ANYTHING illegal that is in "Plain view".... had a cop try that 🐂💩 at our place...
Cops don’t care about those pesky rights or amendments. They get cleared from them with their qualified immunities. They hate ppl and their rights. It’s why he tried to kill a puppy and a kid.
@lambsypte4482 U r exactly right. I worked for the "brown" company roughly 30 yrs ago, and was met almost daily by dogs who were just doing their instinctual duty to protect their owners and home. During those deliveries, I just calmly walked to the house, placed the package and went back to my truck - all the while with the dog walking right by my side. I never "feared for my life" like these pansy @ss police officers do today.
That's about the smartest comment I've read in a while. There's always some scam to get you to open the door so a dirtbag can force entry n begin a home invasion or worse. I'd hoped cops would do better this day in age, but here we are🤦🏻♂️ There's plenty of errors by all parties in this video n any one of several things could have defused the whole thing. Keeping the door shut was the biggest one. Here they can serve papers by posting them on the main entrance of a dwelling so the "I have papers for you" excuse to gain entry doesn't work. Only exception being arrest warrants n search warrants.
Everybody has lost sight of fact that this isn’t even something that requires an armed policeman. It’s not a criminal trespass. It’s just an eviction NOTICE - a piece of paper. A process server could have tack a notice on the door and left.
Good thing the home owner had that camera otherwise they'd blame the child and dog, the cop shouldn't have a badge and a gun. Why did the officer attempt to gain entry by trying the knob?
The people in the house are being evicted, they have no right to be there. So, if you were serving eviction to someone and they release a dog that charges / barks at you, are you going to stand there and let it bite you? Remember, people being evicted generally don't want to leave.
@@bobroberts2371 the officer doesn't have a right to attempt to break into the house even during an eviction and exactly what did he expect was going to happen when you knock on the door, you expect someone to open it. he is a coward and a bad shot. He already hurt a child because of his incompetence
@@secondchance6603 When the officer has permission of the property owner , it isn't breaking in. The people were being evicted and are considered to be trespassing / squatting. Regardless, he never opened the door.
@@azsegrxdhtfgvijnkomlewrhtg9508 Have you seen the videos of cops releasing dogs on nonviolent suspects? Would that suspect have the same right to defend himself against those police dogs?
Actually it’s different. Police dogs are trained to attack and bite viciously in order to inflict pain. The dog running out the front door wants to sniff around and pee after getting a treat from you. The K9 is definitely a threat and likely to cause serious bodily injury. The family pet will prolly leave paw prints on your pants. One is a danger to society and the other is still waiting for a treat.
A lot of times, when an officer comes to serve an eviction notice, the house/apartment is already empty & abandoned. It's pretty common to find them with the doors unlocked. The cop will post the eviction notice on the door or window, then secure the property by locking the doors. Nothing nefarious going in here. Just a cop getting attacked by a dog.
Happy I’m not the only person who noticed that attempt of a 4th amendment violation. And then they’ll try to say the door was open. Cops are crooks and cowards. I wish we could say “it used to be better!”, but the only difference is cameras.
@@donwyoming1936unless that property is owned by the cop, or he has a warrant, he has no right to try and gain access to the property. To make it worse, he shot as soon as the dog ran out. Why dont we see more mailmen in the news for shooting dogs? Because we dont give mailmen guns and tell them that’s their tool for every job.
He was serving an eviction and has that right. The day it's served you no longer live their and are trespassing. That is how it works. They can take off the door lock itself as well. The officer did nothing wrong in this case.
Yeah I noticed he turned to door knob, he was wrong for doing that" he's serving eviction papers which means the person's in the house still have rights, the papers are a Court date to either pay or dispute, so with him trying to enter he was out of order wrong, if he came to remove them then he would have the right to turn the door knobs.
Someone commented that the officer did nothing wrong by trying to enter because the officer was serving eviction papers……but he was wrong because they had not yet been served. I doubt that the officer was there to remove them, just serve notice. Either way, use of a gun because he got a fright was entirely wrong.

The fact he tried to turn the handle on the door could of alerted the dog to the presence of a unknown intruder consider the smell is foreign. Sue him for almost deleting your child.
The cop not only injured the child and the dog, for some reason he tried to enter the house. He didn't have a warrant, what was he supposed to do in the house without a warrant? I'm willing to bet that he won't be fired and will be given a promotion for this. We need the feds to investigate the entire department.
The cop didn't do anything wrong. The dog was let out of the house by the teen while growling and charging at the officer. The real question is why was the officer there at the house in the first place?
He jumped because if the dog.. stop ur bullshyt.. get a life.. I bet u live in the pj's or on some type of public assistance because only people who live miserable lives say stupid shyt like this.
If the cop is not charged, the supervisor should be charged, and so on until someone holds the cop accountable for recklessly endangering and causing injury with a lethal weapon. ( or whatever similar charge is applicable ) This type of crime should be a automatic stand down and investigation by FBI
That’s a PUPPY that wasn’t aggressive was just being a puppy doing it’s job staying with the kids. We have a 16 week old Aussie who doesn’t leave our kids sides and trying to train her to not bolt out the door every time it’s opened and not jump up on people. She does it to the mail delivery guys constantly and they’re not cowards. They tell her “down girl” pet her a minute we pick her up and go back inside. Cops really are cowards smh
That’s a dumb statement… she should’ve told her son to not open the door while he was home alone (generally speaking). What the cop did was horrendous! He is wrong on so many levels!
Why was this officer trying to gain entry into their home. You can see him try and force his way in when he tries the door knob so I'd like to know where the warrant is or where the exigent circumstances to try and enter like that. I know a criminal when i see one.
I personally don't blame the dog it was an accident, even though nobody wants to admit it, it was truly an accident. this is an understandable response from the cop he didn't mean no harm but news outlets shouldn't allow people to put their two cents on how police should be policing especially when they haven't done the job or even understand basic law 🤷🏾♂️
@Ph4r4oh_444g didn't mean harm? Do you know ANYTHING about firearms? He drew his weapon knowing it is a lethal weapon, pointed and fired. Didn't mean harm, whatever.
@@Ph4r4oh_444g Didn't mean any harm???? WTF??? You don't unholster, aim and fire a gun if you don't mean any harm. If a civilian had done the same thing he'd be arrested for it. But because he's part of the blue gang he gets a pass? Hell no!! He's been trained in the usage of that weapon and entrusted to use it to enforce the law. If anything he should be held to a higher standard than a civilian, not a lower one. Would you still be making excuses for this bad cop if it was your dog and your son that were injured? I hope not. I later asked him why was he so scared of dogs and he told me he was bit as a child and never like them. These cops are so quick to shoot first that at this point family pets, acorns and shadows are no longer safe.

I think if the officer had not attempted to open the door, the dog still charged, and the child had not tried to stop the dog...this would be justified. But attempted entry without a warrant? Firing with an innocent child in your crossfire? No...just no. Officer should be charged with child endangerment and attempted burglary.

From the way I see it, the Officer misfires the gun when the boy and dog came out of the house, though they both still got hit and he was genuinely concerned when he asked if the boy was alright. But, that still doesn't mean what happened was right and the officer should be accountable for it.
