haha same I here, I'm 23 and sing it at work sometimes.had an urge to watch the intro again. this show must've planted it's subconscious seed in our childhood minds.
@@FumblsTheSniper That's because it was before the age of woke. Twitter itself didn't even exist back then and social media was in its infancy. Different times...
ok, I seem to be here for the same reason everyone else is. This song just randomly popped into my head and created nostalgia. Anyone know why this seems to be happening?
This show is like a fever dream. I saw like 3 episodes at four in the morning like twice in 2012 and 9 years later I still occasionally just hum the intro to myself
Dude I had forgotten about this show when out of nowhere the” Sherlock Holmes.. in the 22nd century “ part plays in my mind and all of it came rushing back. What a trip
I remember watching Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century, back in the late 2000’s. The theme song is so iconic. I was a toddler watching that show. I’m glad the Sherlock Holmes is available now on DVD. It’s like your taking a trip down to memory lane. Yes!
I forgot about this cartoon for almost 20 years. Then out of nowhere, three minutes ago I start singing the theme song in my head. "Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd century, Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd century..." My god, how old was I the last time I watched this lol? It actually looks pretty cool, I love Cyberpunk stuff lol. I also just remembered the Jackie Chan show was a thing the other day, are all my suppressed childhood memories bubbling up now that I'm 23 lol?
i remember when he is being show how much the world has changed and he freaks out at how much freedom women got, yet doesn't make a fuss about it. this show had some balls in that scene.
Lmao,on this topic,i feel like he both didn't freak out enough, but at the same time, this is the greatest detective ever,so he probably just adapted quickly, lmao
That's just Holmes being Holmes; after the initial shock he just doesn't care. He just wants mysteries to solve! It's funny how surprisingly true to the text this is, and it works!
Ah Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. I used to watch this show on Fox back in 1999-2000 when it first came to the United States. The series later moved to syndication (KOFY channel 20 cable 13 in the San Francisco Bay Area) in 2001 which I didn't watch much afterwards. I didn't watch this show again until September 14th, 2002 when DiC began airing reruns of the show on their syndication block (KTVU channel 2, also in the San Francisco Bay Area). I would later buy the series on DVD in 2012.
Yep, I definitely remember this when I was a kid. Would wake up every morning to watch this show before I went to school. Was about 6 when I first saw this IIRC. Certainly had that late 90’s/early 2000’s animation, vibe and charm. I can’t believe they have the whole series on RU-vid either!
I sing this to myself randomly at least 8 times per year, just came back for a refresher. Im 28.... 20 years of this song living rent free in my head lol
I remember staying awake past 9pm while everyone else was asleep just to watch this show in my room at around 10 or 11pm, we had this little old TV in the corner of our room before we got cable this was one of my favorites
I first saw this 21 years ago when I was five. Then, seven years ago, I was at a half-price bookstore and found the complete series on DVD and bought it. I love this show
@@Ronaldocr72817 HAHAHAHA OML!!! Did you also used to watch, “Archie’s Weird Mysteries”. Dude now that show was bomb I had to stay up at like 10pm to watch that😂
Thanks to the show I became a real big fan of Sherlock Holmes and I still am good I miss the show Hopefully it comes to Netflix you never know right now to say this song it’s really catchy
Admittedly, I'm a little young for this show (I was born in 2004). But I saw a couple reruns late at night on a station that I can't remember the name of. Needless to say those couple of times were enough to get this theme song stuck in my head
especially cartoon network as kids we had all the DIC stuff we had Fox Kids, we had Kids WB and Fucking Dragon Ball Z now a days we got useless shit like adventure time
This intro is literally the only thing I remember of this cartoon and it lives in my head rent free. It's not the catchiest tune ever but that hook is just right to get stuck in your brain.
What’s funny is that I’ve never heard of this show before today, and yet I watched so many shows like this as a kid that I could tell you just from this intro everything this show is about.
I haven't seen this intro in years, I only saw it as a 'Cartoon preview' of sorts on a old DVD for inspector Gadget. Just recently saw a picture of it and was able to sing the song perfectly from memory.
