@@Traylon well, TFS had a lot of practice before then I assume MackStudio is still fairly new. I love the dbz combination interactions, but in this project, it certainly helps the series with a lot fewer seen characters to interact with.

Fun fact or not so fun fact. Raccoon dogs few natural predators include wolves and even domesticated dogs. So it does make sense that Raphtalia would be afraid of them with or without the trauma.

Man, the characterization here is on point, naofumi wanting to be better because he is unhappy with how he was before, shield-san suddenly being connected to a dude and not knowing how to handle them and raphtalia just being cute while trying to do her best. Also the speech in the campfire seen, it's surprisingly profound even if simple, the world is a dark place, but maybe if we keep going forward we might get to see the light at the end of the tunnel, there will be obstacles but laying down won't help us overcome them so our only choice is to move forward despite them.

I mean in the LN the eventual insanity is pretty well explained. Spoilers: it's a result of the curse series they unlock. Noafumi unlocks rage, Ren unlocked greed, "mine is bigger" hero unlocked the lust and envy series, and bow hero unlocked the pride series first. Each curse series has a cost attached to using it. Wrath/rage does a bunch of damage and knocks down your stats, lust and envy caused mr. Over c from Compensating to become psychotically obsessed with Filo, pride basically destroyed the bow hero's free will, and greed made it so anything worth more than a few coppers except his sword would turn to dust if Ren touched it.

If I recall correctly, all the weapons are supposed to be able to talk, but they rarely do for various reasons. Sword, Spear and Bow don't bother due to their heroes being massive fracking idiots with a whole army's worth of issues. Shield doesn't because usually his/her hero usually doesn't need any help. In Naofumi's case, he's so pissed about his shit situation, he'd be yelling at Shield nonstop.

OMFG I love this series, especially that ending. RoTSH is one of my all time fav light novel series (To bad the anime rushed season 2 tortois arc), an I am going to love every minute of this series too.

isekai survival 101 if you're being summoned by a corrupt ruler and you somehow packed you're gun with you just smile get a little bit closer to the king and held him at point and demand his soldiers back off. after that once you escaped with you're life kill the ruler and yell to everyone in the kingdom that you will return to finish off the entire royal family 😅
