themysteriousfigure0 Shoji composed the soundtracks for a great number of the Shin Megami Tensei games, including this one. He's insanely talented in all sorts of genres, as exemplified here.
themysteriousfigure0 Nowadays he's composer for all the SMT games, he takes a different approach to each sub series and give the main series individuality per game.
Well not nowadays no. Wasn't even true when you said it a year ago. All he has done recently is P5, PQ, and DeSu2RB's new music for the new arc. He didn't do SMT4, SMT4A or TMS.
@@NOTZeroBlank Hi, this is Mammothplant's mom. I'm here to tell you that as of the time of your reply, Mammothplant is sadly no longer with us. Last we heard of him, he was taking a trip to Antarctica to investigate a "strange disturbance". Before he left, his last words to us were to tell everyone with a Devil Survivor profile picture that they are a true bro who should be cherished
Well, he technically _did_ see how bad things really got... Right up until he dies a second time. It's technically your choice if he dies hopeful or in despair.
@@awesomehazimex7410 IDK I kinda breezed through Strange Journey the first time through. Jack took a few tries for not bringing Dis-Bombs for phase 1 and I was caught a bit unprepared for phase 2, but I beat him soon enough. I was often pretty close in level to the bosses from grinding, but Ouroboros 2, Jack, Maya, Jimenez, and Mem Aleph were the only bosses that really gave me much trouble. Fuck Ouroboros 2, though. That fight is just RNG hell.
Soul hackers,Smt4 & nocturne were my first SMT games. The music for this game threw me off at first because it did not sound like traditional SMT music. It took until I got to jacks squad for me to get that this game is the closest thing megaten will get to have demons in space. After that, the orchestrated music started to click for me. This is probably my favorite game in the franchise now story wise.
Idk why but I imagine this happened to one of the other two crashed ships 0:00 A group of demons start approaching the squad monitoring the outside of the ship gets reported 0:14 Shooting starts with little damage doing to them 0:30 Slowly people are reporting how they're not stopping 0:43 The people in the ship start seeing their protection get overrun screaming with scattered random firing, on the big monitors from their live video cam feed 1:14 All contact with the outside group is lost
@@galgalimeyes91 DoomSlayer chooses *talk* option Imp: Ah, Doomslayer! What is the meaning of life? Doomslayer: to crush your skull between my fists. Imp: Hmm, no that won't do at all! > The Imp suddenly attacked!
If Atlus were to make a sequel of this, hell if they remade this game to SMT IV standards, even if they jus rerelease it, I'm fucking buying it. I love this game but I have to play it on a shitty emulator and can't experience its full glory.
It's on DS, and therefore playable on 3DS. I had purchased a copy a couple of months ago from the local Gamestop. And the game was released like in 2010, so there's not much of a need for a re-release with it being fairly recent.
RATPT0I I guess, but maybe in the future they might. I'm not saying right away, but maybe in a few years. I'm still planning on getting it in the near future.
RATPT0I They are re-releasing Devil Survivor 2, which is EVEN MORE recent... Strange Journey could be released with some upgrades, like perhaps the choice between Easy and Original difficulty on first playthrough and an optional Turn Press mode.
Fun fact: there are two literal Jojo references in this game. One being the fact that the move enemies use to give you the "bomb" status effect is called "Bites the Dust", and the other being an application called "White Album". (the second one might be reaching, but I think the first one speaks for itself)
Just finished this Version this Monday and it was amazing and surprisingly easy not too easy but I was breezing through the bosses..only had troubles with Gore and Zelenin with that Requem bullshit but yeah
I picked this game up again recently after years of not playing it, and I was blown away just the same way I was when I first played it. Such a wonderful game.
So do I. Don't listen to him. I like the FF13 songs as much as the songs here (not all of them either, but still), especially Saber's Edge. That is just beautiful.
@B4ULoveShine Well during the first leg of the series Tsukasa Masuko, was the first composer and then handed the baton to Kenichi Tsuchiya, and now its currently in Shoji's hands, its been passed around a little.
Oi meu caro Br!
on its own, the soundtrack for SJ is good, but the battle themes just don't work for me at all, especially the ones where there's entire gaps of nothing happening, like between 0:10 and 0:15
