M2K is like the protector of the gods that keeps players like sfat from ever reaching god status, especially when all the other gods are not playing up to par. He truly is the final boss.
I would say that title belongs more to Armada considering non of the non gods + Leffen have beaten him. Sfat has beaten m2k already anyway at Genesis 3.
Armada is the final boss for Wobbles, Fly, Plup, Lucky and Axe I don't include Sfat in that list because I'm not sure he's beaten PPMD, but I might be wrong
2:34 "SCAR IS DRUNK" shoutouts to the people, keeping us informed about our champ, regardless of whether or not we want to hear it, or if it's even true.
I actually wasn't that surprised with the FD pick. Like, the guy's down two games, and he has to win there, might as well get some practice in. Not to mention this is the second time he's lost to M2K and gotten 2nd place, so he might be expecting it in the future.
Idiots think SFAT is "free" just because Mew2King is able to destroy him because M2K is just that good. Do people forget that SFAT is the same person who just reverse 3-0'd Mango and 3-1'd Hbox at this tournament? That shit is not luck especially since SFAT has now taken 3 sets off of Mango. Stop underrating him. He's, at the very least, 8th right now and I would even argue that he's currently better than Plup.
+Moe Ali Definitely not. SFAT's best performance at a supermajor is still only fifth (Genesis 3), while Plup got third at the biggest tournament of all time (Evo 2016) and makes top 8 at every single major he goes to (aside from one ninth at Genesis 3). SFAT still has a long way to go to reach the consistent high results that Plup achieves. Don't let recency bias cloud your judgement.
flownominal Mew2King beat Sfat before Sfat played Mango, Beat him in winners finals and grands, so obviously not burned out unless u wanna say Sfat burned out but still beat Mang0 LMAOOOOOOOOO
crazy how sfat really looked like he was up next from clutch city clash to this tournament, and this was the best he would end up doing. just shows how hard the game is and how impressive the people who win actually are
Shine 2016 was almost totally dominated by Mew2King. He won melee singles, melee doubles, and sm4sh doubles. ZeRo was the only one to win an event mew2king entered, sm4sh singles.
ngl the fact that M2K randomly stole 2 stacked tournaments from Sfat when Sfat had the blatantly harder bracket in both cases is so tragic, especially when considering M2k doesn't even have that many major wins himself. It really is a pick your poison for either outcome.
The first Game is exactly the reason why I hate seeing m2k giving up his last stock. I mean just look how good Sfat did in the beginning and then out of nowhere the m2k comaback.
Actually, it's been very interesting, Hbox wins EVO, Mango wins SSC, and now M2K wins Shine. I think this stop of an era of "dominance" that used to happen is very good for the game, it leaves spectators wondering who's going to win, instead of "is the dominant player going to win again?".
SFAT decided to play conservatively, gave up several confirms which in a more aggressive mindset he would've hit. in the end M2K made his openings matter and sfat didn't
