Great review. I bought the game because of decent reviews ive seen about including yours. On a side note, I have experienced absolutely zero slowdown on Xbox One X!

Yep, I am playing it on Xbox One X and dont see any slowdown, and it looks really nice.

The vocals soundtrack are done by the famous seiyuu: nana mizuki, hence her voice is not overbearing even if on repeat

This game is actually good. Not groundbreaking in any way, but it's just simply fun to play, has a good OST, decent length/content, nice character interactions (whole game has anime vibe tho, so don't expect anything too serious) and surprisingly good voice acting. Really the things that bring it down for me are lack of quality of life features like proper teleporting or quest tracking and more importantly, how damn grindy it gets lategame. If they had a better designed system for teleporting and less grinding, this game would be an easy recommend from me. I don't like fetchquests at all but you can safely ignore them if you don't want to do them, I only did some here and there if I was going out anyways. EDIT: Oh btw I played it on PC and I had 0 performance issues. Something that is always appreciated when playing japanese game PC ports.

I like it been playing it for a few hours. The fetch quests don't bug me as I love the Atelier games so I'm used to them. Great video.

Just started playing this and you are correct in all your opinions. My only gripe is I wish the map had a better correlation to the actual game play.

this looks so much better than tales of vesperia, yet everyone on forums says vesperia is better. I'm confused. I've tried playing vesperia, but it's so clunky. animations are stiff, combat is stiff, it takes seconds to load a battle, Even cutscenes are boring. Will give this game a try, since it's on sale.

Vesperia takes a while to pick up; i felt the same way for like 20 hours

I didn't like Vesperia either. I recommend playing Berseria though, super smooth and fun gameplay

Great review, honestly one of the best reviews I've seen on youtube of any game. I will definetly try it out, I somehow confused this with resonance of fate back in the day and never looked into it as I already owned resonance of fate on PS3 🤣 Don't ask me why or how lol...

Best review of the game. The story and characters are kinda bland for my taste but the gameplay and deep customization of weapon tuning, aspect setups, bonds, and BANDS are top notch.
