What he is doing is not legit. He’s using third party software to manipulate rng. It’s against the rules according to the handbook.

BTW This also works for gift pokemon like the Eevee from Bebe (set NPCs = 1, and modulo % = 2). Also for Mew/Jirachi (stats only not shininess) with NPCs accounted for (the modulo % = the number of NPCs +1). I'm not sure about Happiny and Riolu eggs, since you may need your TID/SID for those but it should work.

Was able to get my first RNG manip shiny thanks to the guide! :D Got a bit stumped trying Shaymin after watching the guide- just seems like Page Down isn't getting sent to Flowtimer even with the global box checked :( I wanna keep trying, but having some trouble overcoming that hurdle.

I've been playing around with going into the grand underground and have been trying to figure out how to calculate the advances using blinks to hit targets. However, I can't seem to find a consistent way to re-identify advances just before entering. Is there a way to mess with the config_camera.json settings on the right hand side to track advances? It seems like this would also be settings that change per area given the semi-random NPCs that spawn in each time when in the grand underground. What if I were to walk the entire section of the underground to find the NPC tally and add that to the number of NPCs? What other things cause advances in the grand underground?

Finally took the plunge and tried executing one of these, managed to get Shieldon second try (after panic clicking one second too early the first time...) - can't believe it was quite so easy! The race is now on for me to get shiny versions of all the legendaries before the end of the month, still on 1.1.1 so need to get everything before the Darkrai event ends. Will be blasting through all the fossil mons tonight with the menu glitch, so thanks very much for these guides!

Nabbed Omanyte on my third try. Sometimes the advances go 1 out of sync when you mash A to talk to the fossil guy, unfortunately, but thankfully it's a fairly quick hunt once you get the initial seed. Are you planning to do a guide for Bebe's gift Eevee?

Bebe's gift eevee would work exactly like this, but you use Bebe instead of the Ranger girl, and its only 1 NPC, instead of 5.

The answer is yes, but there are A LOT of NPCs in Floaroma Town.. it was like in the 20s when I did it. I'd have to go back and check my VODS to be sure.

I have a question, what can I do if my tid is 6 digits but the pokefinder only accepts up to 5? I do not know if this can cause me problems with the rng

Lincoln made a tool for this. lincoln-lm.github.io/JS-Finder/Gen8/G8-ID-Converter/ Pokemon changed how ID's are displayed in game, but the math still uses the 5-digit TID\SID structure. You don't actually need your TID\SID for anything but eggs, so you can proceed without worry if you don't have your secret ID.

Hey jefe, I wanted to ask you for help because it doesnt work for me. I always Hit my target advance exactly but i just cant get the shiny. I reidentified until I could Get my target advance. Then talked instantly to the person, deactivated +1 menu close and reidentified again and pressed exatly the right advance. I dont know what I'm doing wrong

Your best bet is likely to level up the Fossil you receive, check its IVs, and find out what advance you hit. Unfortunately NPC blinks aren't completely uniform so you can run into some bad luck with this one, and wind up in-between targets. even if it seems like you're pressing the buttons correctly. I've had some fossils take 4-5 tries, and others just 1. After determining what advance you are actually hitting, consider hitting A either one advance earlier or later. Sometimes the hardware delay can be a factor here as well.

1:40. How a blurry small camera like yours in palkias video its better and more accurate than a capture card ? i'm not trying to be a smart ass, genuinely question. Should i use my 4k 60 elgato or my camera

Sorry I misspoke here. Didn't mean to imply a crappy webcam is better than a capture card. I meant "Camera setup" as in, the Camera Index function in PlayerBlink. As opposed to monitoring an OBS window, which only works in Windows 10. You can use a Capture Card with the "Camera Setup" and it will be the most accurate by far.

does anyone knows why the program just stop at 40/40 the screen freeze and I dont get my seeds? :(

If it's freezing, check the command prompt window for an error. I'm guessing somewhere it will say "failed to deduce seed from monitored blinks" which means it didn't get a clean register of all 40. Either it missed some, registered some false blinks, or some doubles weren't counted properly. For it to work, it MUST capture all 40 accurately. You can adjust the threshold setting, and use the raw screenshot function to get an eye snip that's pixel perfect to the video feed. If you need more help, my discord is in the description and many people including me and the developer are experienced in helping people get rolling.

Man im having an internal struggle as to whether or not to actually do this. On one hand, arceus was really hard to actually execute and so it felt rewarding to get the shiny. On the other hand, the pressing A at the right time comes naturally to me as a musician, its just basic rythm. So it feels like im just giving myself a shiny here
