You got the best results I've seen so far. I just wanted to take the coating off my Towser... but now this??? So beautiful.

Cool job...patina is a odd but satisfying way to make your knaf unique...different everytime regardless of steps taken which is cool...

I did this on my flytanium Manix scales, after a while I got annoyed at the varnish making it feel a bit slick in the hand, I was going to sand it off completely but once I sanded off the varnish I realised that was what was making it slippery so I left the patina on there unvarnished and it hasn’t rubbed off at all so now I’m kinda unconvinced the varnish is really necessary or ideal. It also looks better without the glossy look from the varnish imo

The handle looks great I have tools because of my profession that'll work better than your recommendations. Thinking of trying this on a couple of copper pieces.

Really cool. I'm a diver and I'm digging it. Wayne, does the handle texture come from the mixture used on the knife or from the final spray? Whatever it is, gives the "slabs" an imperfect look instead of the cookie-cutter looks of production scales. Nobody has a knife exactly like yours.

Barkeepers friend will clean the cooper just the same as the rust eraser. I prefer the liquid version

Shipwreck is my favorite! I’m gonna scoop that Copper Olight knife in copper that just dropped not too long ago or the Copper Banter and do one. That Towser K is sick!! Did you have to strip that copper finish off to do that?

There's gotta be a better way to get the black coating off maybe an acid of some kind.

I find the shipwreck patina extremely conflicting in my own thoughts. On one hand I absolutely love the colors and I'm a huge fan of brass and copper. I love that color blue and it looks so cool. On the other hand it reminds me of those rhinestones and cheap indian turquoise jewelry you get in at those roadside gift shops on route 66. PS I don't have a problem with Indian art but the cheap gas station stuff I just personally find it tacky in my own opinion.

What happens if you don't clear coat or use any clear

The handle gets pretty messy and a lot of the forced patina will rub/crack off
