Shishagh Shami is a northern Iranian dish made of mince meat with eryngium planum, an aromatic vegetable. The vegetable gives the meat a taste that’s very distinct from other meat-based recipes, and it also gives the dish a very unique aroma. The dish is served with French fries, fried tomatoes and a delicious sauce that has a touch sourness to it. It can be served with bread or rice.
I should mention that fresh eryngium planum will give the dish added flavor.
🔵Ingredients for 8 Servings:
1 kg Mince Meat
3 Medium Onions
250 gr Eryngium Planum Leaves
5 Tablespoons of Tomato Paste
6 Tablespoons of lime juice
3 Glasses of Water
Potatoes and Tomatoes as Needed
Turmeric powder, Cinnamon Powder, Salt and Pepper as Needed
