I hate them together and don't want them to end up rekindling things. Shiv was horrible, unfaithful and cruel to Tom, and Tom resorted to betraying her out of resentment. They are the definition of toxic.
if you remember in the last episode, he tries to be nice to her by saying let me show you some kindness and she rejects him. but with that ear flick and insult, shiv knows shes losing her grip on Tom. She knows she has to hoover him now. Classic Narcissist move. Thats why she asks him out after that. Also, Tom being mean to her makes her respect him alittle more but she must always win (just like her dad) so she has to suck him back in and crush him again. They have a classic narcissist/empath relationship.

The reason Tom dominates and manipulates Greg is because of how Shiv treats Tom and she treats Tom like that because of how Logan treats her. The whole show is about "succession" in more than one way. The profound affects that Logan has had on his children/family is how they learned how to form relationships which is why the collective trauma is passed on to their partners and/or children; Connor was given no love or attention and thus has no concept of love outside of a superficial statement which is why he seeks "love" by way of capturing and purchasing it, Kendall was the first son to actually compete for his father's love and is thus obsessed with his father to the point that no partner can fill that hole, Roman was the son who lost to Kendall and would thus never live down that loss and thus accepted a submissive and jaded role in his love life that conditioned him to welcome ridicule and sadism and reject genuine love or attraction, and finally Chiv who is the only daughter and was never given equal respect of her male siblings and could never live up to her father's impossible and ever-changing standards. Logan put his career above all else, including his family, to the point that he never understood what he had done to his kids. He only saw it as a means for teaching them how to survive as powerful successors, but he didn't realize that his lack of love or empathy would be the very reason why all of his children were all too broken to ever be a worthy successor. And without the children's mother present in their lives, they became enthralled in fighting for their father's approval to no end, it was forever a competition for love. The role as the "successor" is about who "wins" as the most loved and respected child, which is why Logan had to die in the show because he never would have picked or showed his hand. The only way they were set free in the end is by none of them filling that role and it going the route that it was always meant to go, to someone who would take orders and accept their role without trying to please the impossible to satisfy Logan Roy. It really is the perfect ending to the series, which was a perfect show.

Just imagine. All Tom hat to do was be open about who he really is and Shiv would be head over heels for him. If only she could’ve see how he treats others when she isn’t around.
She doesn't bring the worst in him. He was always loyal to her business wise and relationship wise, there was nothing he wasn't willing to do for her when things were ok between them.
@@EughhBrothereughh yes she does tho. she’s always pushed him outside his comfort zone personally and morally in pursuit of power, and shiv’s debasement of tom has usually resulted in him taking his anger and humiliation out on the people working under him (usually greg, eg the wedding jog altercation, the water bottle incident, etc) which is the sort of thing that coarsens you more each time you give into it
Shiv needs to take Tom to REI when they back to the states. No one wears white sneakers to mountain retreat. He can afford Le Chameau hiking boots, Merrill, etc.

When she says people are getting off of molly is because she probably did molly last night and maybe slept with Lukas? We’ll never know but their scene had tons of chemistry. One of the best shows ever, comparable with Breaking Bad.
She pokes fun at the "conservative hicck" side. She's pregnant, so no Molly ! She wasn't very attracted to the story of Lukas' blood bricks for Ebba ! 😅 And Lukas is only interested in her as the "girl inside" Waystar. In the last episode, we see that he is no longer interested to her.

It's Shiv, the " girl inside" Waystar who established the Kill list for Matsson on which there are no two women (Gerri and Karolina) and Tom who is only "Tom of Siobban" at this time.

She didn't have show of love in childhood. Feelings are seen as a weakness in the misogynistic world of the Roys. She isn't confortable with feelings so she suppressed them or expressed badly. She's just immature like her brothers.

Haha, Roman literally slapped Shiv in S1 E2. That was far more inappropriate than this. And she was the first one who got pretty physical here with the feet stuff. And in terms of psychological abuse, Shiv would also get the prize within this toxic relationship. Don't get me wrong, Tom is no angel either but not even close to someone like Logan :D
@@dignam8943 Roman and Shiv are siblings they used to fight, but Tom and Shiv are husband and wife (still), and Roman slapped Shiv IN PRIVATE, but Tom didn't care there was people looking at them when that happened, that's the difference "I don't care if your brothers, co-workers or even investors are watching us, I will still give you a little pain"
