This is my updated review of the FitRx SmartBell, after one year of use. I have been using these adjustable dumbbells in my garage for my home workouts for the past year. They have really held up well, and I have enjoyed using these smart dumbbells. I use these dumbbells for back workouts, chest workouts, leg workouts, and even my crossfit and HITT workouts.

I got one of these and i love it. Best dumbell ive had compared to the old school traditional ones. i love how fast it is to switch the weights out. replaces a whole rack of space. so nice

I have the same set and I absolutely love them! I wanted the BowFlex adjustable dumbbells but the price was too high for my budget. I could easily justify the FitRx ones and I do not regret getting them at all.

Thanks for making this video. I'm ordering the 10 to 90 ones for my home gym. EDIT AFTER USING THE 10-90s FOR A LITTLE OVER 30 DAYS: There is a plastic piece on the base that guides the weight onto the pin that allows you to switch weights. This plastic piece broke on one of the bases after about 30 days of use. I contacted the seller and they said they don't offer replacement parts and recommended I return it. I liked these at first but ended up returning them at my local Walmart a little over a month after getting them because of the issue with the plastic piece on the base.

@@nicoshealthtipsI'll let you know. They're supposed to arrive this weekend. I've trained for years at a gym with regular dumbbells, and excited to try the adjustable ones out at home.

@@nicoshealthtips I've done a couple workouts with the 10-90s now. It's my first set of adjustable dumbbells so there is a little learning curve during the first workout, but now I've got the hang of them. And my impression so far is these are awesome. I would recommend them.

I just got it. Its suppose to twist both ways right? One of them only twists one way. I dont want to break it so I dont force it to twist the other way.

They should twist both ways. You can try and push the white buttons and see if that helps rest it. Goodluck

Hard plastic with a hard interior…? Where does the weight come from? It’s got to be metal inside no?

I haven't broken one open. But the weight is a hard plastic. Doesn't seem like metal on the inside. Without breaking it, i honestly don't know if it is plastic all the way or something else.

@@nicoshealthtipsSo you have had these for a year now have you maxed out on the weights yet (52.5lbs) ? If purchasing again would you have still bought the 5-52.5lb version or purchased the 10 to 90lb xl version?

@paulloren66 for how i use these i don't walk away missing more weight, but i also use a barbell for heavier lifts. If i was buying for the first time it would be hard to pass up more weight, but I'm happy with what i have.

@timmyg000420 i do it all time. Felt weird at first, but never had an issue and do multiple overhead lifts with them now.

how long is the warranty? I researched about this adjustable dumbbells and most people encounters falling of weights and it keeps getting stuck.

for some reason, im having trouble placing one of the dumbbells back onto the base rack once im done. Any suggestions?

I would check the weights. If one isn't aligned with the others, it may cause the dumbbell to not go in straight out easy. If it only happens right before it snaps down, i would make sure the metal piece on the weight is sliding in well on the dumbell. You can take out the weights and try each plate individually. Use the white plastic button on dumbbell to release it or reset the alignment on the dumbbell.
