Yes you’re right, I totally agree with you. I am from a Pacific Islands in Solomon Islands and I went to school from late 60s so I can remember. Teachers were even very detailed in the history of the countries around the world. It was even better when replaced with Social Studies. Now it’s changed again with something like Humanity (ies) and student today don’t even know their geography of the world let alone the history of the country.
