Hey bud. Please stay safe out there. That goes for all your excellent team, especially those guy's up on the roofs. Snow is unpredictable and definitely dangerous. I love your channel and I honestly can't believe that you and your team aren't praised everywhere you go. You save lives....I pray for you and your awesome crew. You are the best.
Awesome guy and awesome content... what's not to like.....plus those dog's are gorgeous.... there's something about a YT channel must have the loveable dog's.
Oh my, hope no one is to seriously hurt, and the building can be made safe without huge effort so no one is displaced. Sends prayers and strong/safe energies that way.
Great things to come for the channel...can't wait. Mammoth Mountain Chamber of Commerce should compensate you for the videos. I know I want to make the trip up there this summer. Thanks Ben.
Where do you live? Mammoth is one of the best places you can see. It is the paradise of the people who love outdoors activities. Backpacking my favorite
@@Betonrg My #1 favorite place in all of California -- Owens Valley, Mammoth Lakes, eastern Sierra in general. I fell in love with it 52 years ago and even though I'm in the Pac NW now it just isn't quite like the eastern Sierra.
Your dogs are the stars of your channel. They sure don’t get excited like my dogs , u say wantta go for a ride, holy smokes they do backflips. Your doing great to me , I’ve been watching for 2 months & looking forward to more great content. I’m not going anywhere!!!
Gosh I hope nothing worse than the building damage. Thank goodness your crew stayed safe up on the roof. I had to chuckle as a noticed your peach colored cat dish as we have the exact same one. No idea where we got it but have had it for many years. Your breakfast looks great! Congratulations on all the new equipment. Bud and Sadie are ready to get back to the snow country and their friends. We got cyclone-bomb weather here yesterday. I can only imagine So. Cal. Stay safe out there. Cheers from Cupertino, California
If you would like to see how another man video's construction and a few other things, I wish to recommend a RU-vid channel called ESSENTIAL CRAFRSMAN. He has filmed in Las Vegas, Arizona, and the most in Oregon. He's an amazing man with broad scope and thought-out narration. Among numerous other things he has shown us concrete work, lots of framing, lot preparation, how to work with neighbors of construction sites, roofing, he has a good plumber come in, works with garage door guys and maybe best of all is his two story spec house with many steps and considerations. He shows some mistakes and how he rectified them. And dealing with inspections. He's honest moral and sensible. A little of his family and special friends is included. And he's interested in forging metals. I come from a construction family and enjoy watching this man. Essential Craftsman.
Excellent emergency response coverage! I bet that you will be contacted by every news agency to use or buy your excellent videos. I just hope that no one was seriously injured, burn recoveries are very painful and difficult!
Well it's all over the news now. The count was five injured, one critically. Literally across the street from the cabin we owned there 50 years ago, north end of The Village. Corner Hillside and Forest Trail.
Awesome turn out for this. All that specialized help. Fantastic pride in that town. Hope all are okay in this incident. I have been watching your channel. I am a Firefighter Paramedic in Canada. Also a fire investigator. As I was watching your videos was alway wondering how the hell you all deal with medical emergencies and fires with all that snow. Lots of hands there to help. I do hope all were not injured badly in this incident
Thanks for all you and your crew do up there. Stay Safe! It was difficult to hear you at the site of the explosion. Plus the repeated footage was not really necessary. Please let Us know what happened there in as much detail as possible. I've Sub'd to your channel just recently and I look forward to seeing more with your new equipment 👍 Take care! Bev Ann from San Diego California where the rain keeps coming down!!! I'm not complaining, it's better than ALL that snow!!! 🌞🙏
Flat roof snow cleaning: snowblower hanging in between skis just an inch lower, so it floats on snow but still will have a bite in the snow. Feel free to apply for patent :)
That propane tank explosion is so scary! Glad the roof snow removal guys are safe! This is a first for Mammoth. Keep us posted if you hear what exactly happened? Mammoth breaking records too! 800” on the top! Skiing through July! Excited for more GoPro footage! ✌️
We were up skiing when that explosion took place. Heard about it later. There were several injuries. We we left Saturday morning for Reno our bus driver said one of his driver colleagues was injured in that blast along with his wife and others. Seems like they're on the road to recovery, but some injuries might take some time to heal. Prayers...💗
Now your talking, doggie cams , they make them , I’ve seen them on r/c cars . Love his o lite doggie lites . I need to get some for my dogs . I use glow necklaces when out camping.
I have no idea what kind of editing of your videos you do, if any, just thought I'd mention that you have (3) identical clips posted back to back to back, and then about a minute later, you have (2) identical clips posted back to back. I really appreciate your videoing of the "Snowmageddon" going on, have watched a lot of your videos over the past few days. I lived in South Lake Tahoe the winter of 1974/75, and while I don't think that was a particularly heavy snow winter, storms would come thru and dump 6' over 3 days. The only time I ever skied in my life was that winter, from the peak of the roof of my cabin, down across the roof, across my front yard, across the street in front of my cabin, and into the meadow on the other side of the street. Took me almost an hour of wallowing thru the snow to get back to my cabin.
Wow, I hope everyone is ok. This is the first video of yours where I noticed the same footage being replayed, over and over again. Good thing you are getting more camera's. This was ridiculous.
• I heard about the explosion while driving home this afternoon. One person reported critical. • Breakfast looked yummy. 🍳 • The sky is spectacular today here in the NV lowlands.
Prayers for all involved. Depending on the size propane tank explosions can be nasty and become what is called Bleve. One railroad propane tank explosion where I am at killed like 11 firefighters in the 1970's.
Hopefully, no one was hurt or killed in the propane tank explosion. That seems to be what you guys need in Mammoth Lakes is help from southern california fire departments for emergencies. It is very good the governor has declared a state of emergency in many counties of the state. With the huge snow loads on roofs and the upcoming huge spring thaw. Those huge snow piles will become water before the end of summer this year. The area may have many roofs collapsing. With spring here there will be a huge thawing of those huge snow piles with no where to go? All the creeks and streams are blocked with the tiny creeks all leading to the hot creek and Lake Crowley. There will be huge puddles and small lakes everywhere before and into summer. Many homes, apartments, and condos will have flooding and water damage this year.
@@mysryael I can see that, especially if they had snow removal equipment and loaders handy. Otherwise the authorities usually completely clear out any bystanders.
Eventually you'll need it but won't be able to find it so back to Lowe's for another one. At least that's how it goes for me. OMG I commented way before I saw what happened. Hope everybody+ mkes it all right.
So incredible the amount of snow pack that has accumulated. Growing up in California in the 60's and 70's and I never seen anything like what we are seeing this winter. Is this the beginning of an ice age period? Snowfall records all over the western states. Stay safe guys everyone is depending on you.
@@igenr8stuff I was 9 then. We experienced heavy rains and snow covered mountains in San Berdoo and that's about all I remember about the weather in 69.
Unless it gets hit by a loader. That's a distinct possibility in the conditions they're in. Similar problems down in Big Bear and Arrowhead after _their_ big snowstorm, although those issues are natural gas lines.
All those guys just standing around. Give them a shovel and tell them to get to work! I hope you were able to video when they had to get those HUGE firetrucks out!
And Santa Fe Springs, Riverside, LA County, etc. Thank your government! It's called mutual aid. They've been there for awhile assisting the local government.
I hope they aren't the latest model of Go-Pro, because a lot of people are having problems with them. Get a good DSLR that shoots video with a good mic.
So did the weight of the snow have anything to do with the propane tank explosion? I heard people talking about a airport - does Mammoth have a airport again?
I am amazed at the agencies responding to this. They are over 6 hours drive to mammoth. . Then after arriving, mostly just standing around. I see where tax dollars go.
Historically California has had a very robust system where inmates, with a record of good behavior, are utilized in community outreach programs. Mostly wildland firefighting, brush clearing, trash cleanup, etc. It is especially helpful in rural communities.
He lives in the Central valley, guessing the Bakersfield area. It's a big city cheaper to live in then has a cabin up in Mammoth. It's a pretty common thing to have in California. He goes up highway 178 through the Kern River Canyon, that drops out onto highway 14 in the Mojave desert, which leads to highway 395 and into Mammoth. You can snowboard and surf in 1 day if you live in LA county.
Ben was at his home in Bakersfield; he said he was spending a couple days down there in an earlier video. The coverage of the Mammoth accident was likely upload to the channel by one of his partners since the crew is still up tthere.
Maybe with the money you hopefully will make from RU-vid you could build a machine shed to store all your vehicles so you don’t have to dig them out of the snow! Love your dogs…
Must be nice, that if you want to get outta the snow, all you have to do is drive a few miles down the hill. UP here in Minnesota we'd have to drive a couple hundred miles south. I was starting to feel sorry for you all too.
LOL. Propane tanks DO explode, but not in this case. Propane tanks explode when there is structural failure of the tank or there is a large external heat input (overwhelming the capacity of the safety vent valve).
@@igenr8stuff I know the manufacturer....those tanks were tested at nuclear bomb blast sites ...they do not explode....I went to school with the manufacturer in the 80s and worked for the family that made vehicles run on propane..I used to install them ....They don't explode.... the military even used propane bombs .... propane tanks DO NOT explode
@@igenr8stuff I went to Downey High school with the daughter of Manchester Tank... Manchester Steel was based in Lynnwood CA, And I worked for the Zonker family...old man Zonker was the one that made vehicles run on propane, and I knew Ted Johnson owner of Ted Johnson Propane in Southern California... My first full time job was converting vehicles to duel fuel gasoline and propane in Bell Gardens California... You know those huge white propane tanks the size of a semi truck....those were all manufactured in Lynnwood CA 60s 70s 80s and 90s
I'm very confused. Is it just me? Video started in summer with new camera equipment.... then several segments repeated themselves...and the snow levels seem low? Y'all are digging out equipment that you dug out weeks ago? I'm not criticizing, I'm just very confused, this isn't fitting the timeline? Sure hope everyone is able to be rescued unharmed.
The video does seem confusing as several segments duplicate and triplicate. Not certain why he began it with shots from so. CA. This incident did happen this morning (3/22) and our snow is very, very deep. Find the portion of video where crews are digging out the propane tank.
#1, the vehicles that they're digging out, this is like the third time they've had to dig them out, that's how much snow they've gotten since January. #2, Ben said in an earlier video that he was going to spend a couple days in Bakersfield and he even showed the trip down CA-178 to get back; that footage is from Bakersfield. #3, No idea why his partners uploaded the accident loop three times but the footage was no doubt uploaded to the channel _by_ his partners in Mammoth since the crew is all still up there working.
No wonder California is so expensive to live! All those emergency personnel....That snow is epic. Get ready for more in the future (look to pole shift for details).
With how much money there is up there, it's hard to feel bad for any of those people, and I hope others start to appreciate just how dangerous of a place Mammoth California can be.
How do u have green grass outside your sliding glass doors?? This must be a video you are posting from another time frame. Where's all th snow from th 2023 accumulation??
