From what I have read, and I have not crosschecked it so don't quote me on it, Burgol was bought by somebody else. They continued with a new formula and the "old" Burgol guys started Siegol. Again - not sure, just what I read. Either way I am happy with Siegol and can recommend it.
Hello I presume that you ordered the boots from the site and that you used their on site guide? Can you tell us what is the length of your foot, which size did you pick and how well did they suit you? I am planning on ordering them, but I am not in the EU and returning could end up being a nightmare.
Hi Cynical Sceptic, I actually went to a Shoepassion Shop before and tried shoes there - not this particular pair, but a similar one. The shop assistant told me that their shoes are quite large and I agree with that. "Usually" I have a 42,5 or 43 (8,5 or 9) but with Shoepassion I go for 42 or 8 - which fit me fine. I suggest you check what size you usually have and then go 0.5 numbers down. Also, since their shoes are all leather, they tend to adjust to your foot a bit. Of course I cannot make any promises but if I were you I would go with what I outlined above and you should be reasonably save. Of course you couyld also contact their hotline and check with them, just to be sure. Another way would be to download and print out the Shoepassion guide: www.shoepassion.de/pdf-auswahl-herren (German version), that should give you a good idea what to go for. Hey thanks for replying! I already downloaded their measuring chart. And the results are very suspicious. I wear Nikes 47EU which is 30.5cm while when measuring my feet i get a similar result. The problem is that 46EU at ShoePassion is 30.3 and 47EU is 30.8cm so you see my problem? I'm in the no mans land and I have a feeling that whatever I pick I will get screwed. They can either be too big or too small. This is why I asked you for your feet measurements, I need to know how much leeway I have in either case. I'm not sure will the shoes be able to expand for a couple of millimeters in order for my feet to feel comfortable nor how painful proces that might end up being. I am thinking of going to their shop in Vienna in the early 2019 and grab a pair of two.
@@cynicalskeptic Hi again, I just printed the Shoepassion chart an tried it myelf. As I said, I"m usually 42.5, maybe 43, on their chart I'm between 8 and 8.5 (27 or 27.4 cm) but I've found that, when I tried 42.5 at their shop that 42 was the better option for me. At the beginning the shoes are a bit tight but they tend to give a bit and after a short time fit me pretty well. So if I were you I'd either wait till you get to their shop in Vienna (safe option) or, if you want to get them sooner (something I'd understand... :-)) go by the Shoepassion chart and order according to their measurement - ie. "risk it"... I"m planning to be in Vienna next summer and want to try this shop: www.schuhmanufaktur.at/ I haven't had any experiences yet but I heard good things. So if you have the option and are there anyway, why not have a look. Let me know how you go!
@@cynicalskeptic last time I ordered I had a voucher and got them for free. Usually they charge around 30 euros - which I personally find a bit steep. They are good shoe trees but I often go with this brand instead: www.langer-messmer.de/ Not sure what their t&c are regarding shipping to non-EU countries but especially if you order a few of them you'll get them for under 20 euros per pair - also through Amazon. The quality is pretty good and at least on par with the Shoepassion shoetrees - and it's always good to have options!
Hi Alexander. It is at this stage a bit too soon to say much - as I'm only wearing these shoes once per week (on average). BUT - I have a similar pair from Shoepassion (model 628), which have lasted me for approx. 30 months by now and they're still going strong. I recently had to replace the soles but that is normal wear and tear. Overall I'm happy with the 628 model, the leather is good, no problems in any way basically. So I dare to say that these Chelsea Boots here will fare just as well. I like Shoepassion and have so far made only good experiences with them. So yes, I would still recommend them!
@@MrShibby09 It's certainly worthwhile to keep an eye on what Shoepassion has on their sales tab. They can be expensive, but at 30-50% discount some purchases are right steals. I just bought for example, some fashion sneakers that are in the $250 pricerange, and akin to the many other sneakers like Greats and Koio and so on, but at half price 99 Euros, great pair of hightops. I also have a pair of Stingray Derbies, which I also purchased on a sale, saving me a good amount of money.

@@hoang1706 I own 5 Shoepassion pairs by now (3 sneakers, 2 business shoes), first one bought at the store, the others online (SP website). I can recommend both, service was good in both cases, fast delivery, no issues at all. In terms of size they tend to be a bit bigger - as confirmed by the shop assistant. I usually have 8,5/42,5 - with Shoepassion I wear 8/42 though. So my recommendation would be to go half a size smaller - but I can't imagine it would be an issue to swap them if you order the wrong size. As I said, I had good experiences ordering online. You also might wanna check their website as they sometimes have good sales, especially for less common sizes. Best of luck and let me know how you went! :)
