I’ve been lucky to see him a lot since my home team plays in the division. That being said, he’s a great guy. It was during the angels game where he pitched then was relieved and moved to OF. Once in OF he held a convo with a little kid heckling him. And even tho the kid wasn’t a Angels fan, he lit up he was so excited. That’s a memory that boy will have forever. After that day I became a fan.

This guy is human. Unimaginable is the amount of pressure upon Shoei's shoulders. The baseball world expects so much and yet this young man is at the beginning of his career. Can we, as fans, just back off already with the Babe Ruth comparisons, let the man have fun getting paid millions of yen to play American baseball, and sit back relax enjoy the show and appreciate the present without coining him the greatest of all time before he's had a chance to achieve that moniker? The guy is great. I'm just enjoying watching the guy play and I'm far from an angels fan. I'm just grateful that a player like Ohtani has come along to play the game we all love, in my lifetime.

The funniest thing about Ohtani, to me, is that you literally couldn't create a guy with more star potential. As a player he possesses almost every quality you could hope for, even as a young guy. Tall, good looking, funny, and always smiling. It's like the baseball version of the movie 'Big' where a young Japanese boy goes to bed wishing he would wake up as the best player in baseball history.

Never into MLB but I did watch Ace of the Diamond and have a little bit of knowledge but when Stephen A Smith bad mouth Ohtani I started to watch his highlights and I was drawn into him. He plowed the ball out of the park effortlessly and he have such a great personality. I should thank Stephen A smith for being a racist or else I would’ve never knew about Ohtani.
