I find the single cap battles to bring some of those experiences. I backed into that little corner of the building at A cap on the Port map and held off 9 enemy tanks with my Churchhill VII. Kept angling my tank continued smoking the area so they had a hard time seeing me and shooting off their barrels. We lost because no teammates came to help and the enemy eventually unrooted me but it was the most epic memorable experience I’ve had on WT.
"The enemy cant shoot you if theres a wall between them and me" *Taps forehead* I can see this actually being very effective if you play in a squad, because a single player needs some time to get their bunker down, but with 3 or 4 people you can have a really good front wall within 3 pushes that is wide enough to cover you quite well.
Fun fact: The 165mm on the AVRE was originally going to be the gun used in the vehicle designed as a counter to the IS-3, but it was deemed too weak and the 183mm gun used in the FV4005 was developed instead.
It seems logical - if you can't pen them smack them. I am disappointed that Polish old tanks are not fitted for just HE instead of pursuing some imaginary apfsds for t72s.
I love that at 23:29 Phly daddy is talking about how the dozer helped a lot as he tows the dead body of a teammate out of his way surrounded by 7 other dead teammates 😂
@@aleksaradojicic8114 oh yeah for sure! it just cracks me up how perfect the scene is as he is saying that and his former friends are just burning all around him haha
You can do that in Enlisted Spoiler: Infantrymen tend to be capable of running away, and they sometimes carry anti-tank weapons at which point it starts to get bad for the tank crew
This was one of the most exciting and engaging WT matches I've seen in a long time. Possibly even better that that Matilda Slugfest you posted as your Intro years back. The fact that all your team mates were using your position as a rally point proves that this mechanic works, when used appropriately.
_"Watch as the majestic Mantis Swingfire cavitates a hole through the __--skull--__ turret of an approaching Panther, to show its appreciation for the work of the humble Dozer-Centiurion"_ - *_Sir David Attenborough, probably on some episode of Planet WarThunder..._*
Phly once again what excellent gameplay! Gave me Goosebumps! Got an exam to study for and this was the entertainment I needed to recharge a bit! Now back to the grind! Thanks Phly!
The sounds are spooky as well. I just got new headphones and the screetches of wild animals made me look out of the window in horror (even though I live on the 7th floor of an apartment building and the only animals around are pigeons, dogs and bugs).
I like how you carefully made a pit and drew in your then interested teammates to their fiery unnecessary deaths. TO THE PIT! TO THE PIT! CONGREGATE IN THE PIT!
That was one hell of a comeback! I love games like that! They are the funnest kind of game. Most of the time it's completely uneven with one team wiping out the other team. I find myself alone fighting the whole team in a Anti Air vehicle. I'm just running for my life & shooting down all the planes until a tank shoots me or the match ends.
There was a cool TV show in the UK called Salvage Squad where they restored one of these Centurion AVREs for a show over the course of 4 parts. Worth a watch.
My dad has told me stories about these things. He was a sapper in the British army with the UN in Bosnia back in the 90s and always said how these things were a bit of a meme amongts the squaddies as the shells were just that massive
All those russian tanks and MBT's have a dozer built in... it was already there just like one on AVRE... they just made it work... for everything else really they had to put in actual work xd
Just as an idea for a video or just to have fun. I have been playing with the sav m/43 in the Swedish ground tech tree , it is a 3.0 tank destroyer that can have a heat shell with 240mm of penetration. I took this thing out in custom battles and was side shot killing top tier tanks. It is lots of fun
Ooh, that spice reference made me think... WT should introduce carryalls! They would be cargo helis that could "tow rope" (sling) a tank from the spawn area to the frontlines, or bring a tank that needed more ammo back to a captured zone (or bring the ammo to them on the frontlines).... the possibilities are not endless, but they're fun to contemplate!
Hey phloppy whoppity. So bulldozing isn't really the case of just going forward and back I'd say. Irl you have to push a bit forward, if the front of the vehicle rises, lift the bulldozer back (or keep it down depending on how you like it) and back up. Then push again untill it's reached to where you want it, bull dozer blades leave some soil behind or can't push the amount it's already gotten, so I makes some sort of ramp, I hope this helps a little. I haven't played it yet but I'd say it's near correct. I drive machines irl and it may be accurate enough. Also take care mate ^^
Germans on the enemy team: NOT AGAIN BRITAIN WHY WITH THE DAMN TRENCH WARFARE! THE CENTURION AVRE: TIME FOR MY MASTER PIECE ME: *argonnerwald INTENSIFIES*
As someone who bought the AVRE from the beginning, it's a good tank! With an 165mm *B*esh round, it's basically as simple as; >See enemy >Range enemy >Input range into gun >Fire >Profit Like genuinely that's how simple it is. Even the Maus is vulnerable to this thing. I've died in 2 hits to an AVRE before, it doesn't fuck around.
