For my 28th birthday I wanted a change of scenery. I headed up to Jackson Hole, Wyoming with my Pentax 67 to explore and take some photos. Definitely plan on going back again.

Half way through the video and this is my favorite one. I turn 30 end of April and taking a roadtrip. Growing up poor and living on the streets i never knew photography would take me to the places I’ve been. Can’t wait to take it all in.

Haha! As a black man living in Utah I had to laugh as you were looking around for one of us! I shoot landscapes and have been to Jackson Hole and the Tetons several times. I love the mountains and have been shooting them since I kicked off my photography journey in Germany while serving overseas. You can easily fall in love with them and the west for that matter. Love your style brother...keep pressing.

It's Christmas 2020. I watched this twice while drinking a beer. As an old white boy with two 67's (one's a II). Besides the holiday phone call from my daughter, this was one of the best moments of the day. I've been to Jackson many times, visiting all the spots you trundled around in, Including following moose around just like you. When you hump that P'tax around you want every shot golden, as aconsequence you think about light a lot: everything about it, even how it smells when it changes and warms or chills the air. I thank you for the work and time you took to post this. BTW, that 67 looked shiny new? All the best, Mr. Gray

Funny, I grew up shooting film but when digital showed up I was sold. Never looked back. I think todays fascination with film is having an antique in ur hands. The sound of the shutter. The slow process. But the results, with some good presets and editing you can get the same look. Even use a vintage lens with ur mirrors less camera.

His diagnosis of the Pentax failure at 2:30 is probably wrong. The underlying cause is probably the cold temperature, but the problem is not "sticky oils", particularly as the shutter function is electronically controlled. The problem is that at near or below freezing, the silver oxide battery powering the camera weakens to the point where it is not strong enough to run the camera. The half way up mirror locking is indicative. Solutions: install a fresh (stronger) battery, or use the remote battery connector which allows you to put the battery in your pocket, or armpit, to keep it warm and wire it to the camera.

Pretty cool but also a bit scary about the moose. That guy was real close. They're also pretty reclusive, so to see one there may only happen once. Annnyway, Wyoming is pretty and all, but you should make it out to Western Montana. You'd dig it.

'Most people want to "turn up" for their birthday, I want to "turn down".' Hope you enjoyed your birthday. Very timely video. I live in a very densely populated state and I am SICK and TIRED of "people". I'm with you, I have ZERO interest in Miami, Atlanta, Las Vegas, etc. The older I get, the more I want to be out somewhere, away from a lot of people. Wyoming has always interested me (because it is so sparsely populated), however, I don't think I'll be getting there in the near future. Curious as to the racial vibe you felt in Wyoming. I did read where you typed that you want to return, so I'm guessing everything was cool? Over a decade ago, I did some work in Vermont. As a Black man, I was apprehensive at the time, however, I must say I was treated exceptionally well, felt comfortable, and had 1000% positive experiences during my time in Vermont.
