Hey brother, this to will come to pass. My oldest brother moved to Raleigh years ago when I was a Detroit Teacher. On my spring breaks I would visit him and bought him a fly rod in Michigan and brought it to him. We would drive west and camp out at the Davidson River and other nice NC fly fishing spots. It could be worse, you also have that saltwater stuff to get into. I now am down in Kentucky and have been exploring the Cumberland River tailgaters below Lake Cumberland. It’s got a bunch of big fish and big water like the White in Arkansas. Good luck, get in Touch ID be interested in helping you with the deer hair and hide venture!
Thanks Craig, really appreciate the kind words. I do have fond memories of fishing the Davidson from back in the early 2010s when I was stationed in Georgia. Western Carolina has a ton of fine fisheries, but it just doesn't compare to Montana for me. Hope to get out that way this fall and maybe out to the White this winter but is all dependent on the work schedule. I know there are a ton of good deer in Kentucky, would be interested in looking at the the hair/tail construct.
Gee, I was thinking about you just yesterday. Nice to see you posting the video. The NC area has a lot of good blue line brook trout fishing. It's not Montana but the BBQ is great.
Hey Ben, right now I'm selling to Kelly. You can get the hair at www.slideinn.com. If he doesn't have what you're looking for in stock, shoot me a message @ varnersstreamers@gmail.com. Thanks!
