Did some nasty weather surfcasting for schoolie stripers, and found them in a pretty good feeding frenzy! Nothing too big but it was fish every cast for a little bit. Still plenty of season left here in Rhode Island!

I was down in RI a few days ago for some afternoon wading and it was just blue after blue - barely any downtime over 4 hours. My friends and I also hit some good striper keepers too. Good times out there for sure!

Can you do a gear run-down of your main reels and rods? Surf, inshore, and offshore? Recommendations even? My wife and I are gonna be moving up to Rhode Island. I want to start surf-fishing and have that $300 price range for a rod and reel set-up. And like a $150 price range for a lighter reel and rod step-up to throw-off docks. Brands, size?

Lamiglass black is a great rod and you can pair it with a 4-5000 diawa saltist MQ in that price range

Tsunami trophy 2 surf rod. Its 2 piece and great quality for the price. I think the lami black rods suck tbh. Diawa bg reel 4 or 5000 size. All in for under your 300 price range.
