Short Takes: 2005 Infiniti FX45 (Start Up, Exhaust, Full Tour) 

These always had the BEST exhaust note of any SUV in my opinion!

A lot of people may not realize this but the FX and Nissan Murano are on two different platforms.

I always liked the look of this Infiniti plus it has one of the best sounding exhausts for a stock suv.

Did anyone else melt when they heard that glorious V8 roar to life?

I simply LOOOOOOOOOOVE those Infiniti FXs. They look awesome(mainly that generation) and they sound absolutely great! Wish they were more common here in Europe.

I love my fx45 it's fun to drive it just growls. I love the start ups

Gotta love your Infiniti's for their great design and sound. Also love how they all come equipped with Bose sound systems.

I wonder if the fx 35 maybe more reliable in the long run since the 3.5 is practically bullet proof. I mean your losing some in horses but there's tons of aftermarket parts for them.

The Infiniti FX45 is one of my favorite crossovers, partly because it had a very unique and sporty design compared to all of the new crossovers that came out at the time. I see a lot of interior components shared with the 350Z (even the steering wheel is the same), but it's not a bad thing, as I am a fan of the 350Z and I like that familiarity.

@conceptcs Damn lol i was thinking of getting one of these. Whats the city and highway? The mpg is probally so bad because of the beats engine under the hood. You cant get a sound like that with a 150hp 4cyl lol

@TheDarkSanctity overall if you fill the car you get 333.2 miles in the city and 428.4 on the highway

How many of these were produced? I've never even seen a fx45 ever in LA... The 45 is supposed to be the v8 version . Never seen one of these...

If they're "heavy and solid feeling" they could at least make it chrome, which they did in the later year FX35/45 models, the chrome on the later models look MUCH better!! They don't look perfect the plastic door handles, i've been in dozens of different Infiniti FX. Plus my mom owns a G37, the handles feel very heavy and solid, and they're chrome!

@ElectroGhandi Yeah the 2009 Redesign of the FX made the interior So Much better......for the 2003-2008 Years this interior looks better in a Darker Color,but i agree....interior looks like a lower nissan.

These things are kind of ugly but they have a great exhaust sound. I think they are pretty reliable too. I see a lot of them where I live.
