Shorted Iphone X vs 7 Amps, insanely lucky repair 

You made me laugh when you said “I wish I had more amps”. Man I thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have learned a lot from you.

Skill Level: God :))) Only master sorin can do crazy stuff to make things work. While others handle and repair iphone 10,11,12 very careful coz its still new in the market, this guy just add and add more amp coz eventually that shorted components will pop out itself. 😅

It's amazing how small the phone board actually is. Most of the phone space is taken up by the batteries. Thanks for the video Sorin.

Sorin! Use a 1860 high discharge cell to burn out shorted components. It works really well. A good 1860 can discharge 20A and is 3.7 volts

I can't believe, everyone else would seperate with a heat plate, find the fault with a thermal cam, repair, reball and put it back on the the heat plate, not sorin the master comes with lot of Amps 😁

Respeto mucho su trabajo y soy un gran admirador suyo pero en este caso pienso que si no se tiene la herramienta correcta para separar la placas y hacer un buen trabajo es mejor rechazar la reparación, lo que quememos por fuerza bruta está en ese lugar para cumplir una función, saludos desde Galicia.

Nice job :) Try to discharge a lot of capacitor (example: 10x4700uF or more) and maybe the bad ceramic capacitor will blow out. Use a 2,5mm2 copper wire to connect the electrolitic capacitors.

Credit for this solution goes to Carlos Quiceno ,from Colombia check his channel if you speak Spanish. You can make your own board separator by using an aluminum plate with at least 15mm thickness,drill a hole on a side that has the same section of your solder iron resistance , you fill the hole with the resistance , you measure the temperature of the plate with the thermocouple,reach 170 Celsius degrees and the job can start , if I’m not wrong solder ball’s are low melt (138 Celsius), should be an easy job :)

I'm a newbie trying to troubleshoot an Iphone X board... the battery connector is drawing Amps (short) but the charging port connector is ok... I suppose it's ok to do the same procedure on the battery connector? :)

Hey bro. i have a question. I have a hp 2570p i5. Last month it stopped working without any reason (maybe because of power problem of home). I changed Ram, Hd and CPU, but doesn't work. Just fan work for some seconds and again off (repeat repeat ...). Just one time turned on for 30min I updated bios and installed new windows, off again and again fan on off ..... . What's your idea? If I take a new Motherboard will work again??? Thanks

Well done for fixing it Sorin but its the wrong approach im afraid in this case. Short killing can damage lines as you well know. Also the sandwich board its put together with low melt, heating it up that much can cause pads to disconnect. I learned a lot from you over the years. I salute you.

It's a risk that a track might blow out, but you have the luck of the devil :-D There is a heating jig that slowly brings the pcb up to temprature, but it's not as easy as ordinary phones. Sts Telecom may be good to watch, to see how he does it :-D
