I flew on my first 777 it was BA 777-300ER from LHR to JFK Sat behind the engines near to the back I had Aisle seat but god they sounded fantastic and the Power. My first ever flight was 2019 on an AC787 from LHR to YVR with GEnx. Same on the way back and from JFK it was a GE90-90B 772 wanted a Rolls Royce having never flew on an RE powered aircraft

Bro you are correct because if they will give full throttle during any take off the passengers will get hard push back due to inertia

@@masighose8098 and not just that, if it's full power, they are gonna overuse the engine, which may give an angine failure during takeoff, so in order for it not to happen, it's always 90% throttle

Techinically all jet engines are never running at “full power” except when they are being tested. TO/GA thrust is the most powerful setting on jet engines and its always at least 2% shy of “full power”

@@ahmedayaat4736 true. I should also mention that the engine itself is about 1/3 the size of the casing. The reason they're so big is because of the fan blades.

It is. You can see the Bayonne Bridge at the beginning. Taking off from runway 4L. I've driven by several times and never realized how close it is to the water.

It's taking off from newark Liberty airport in new jersey i was once stuck in that place for half a day because of weather and then we boarded our plane after that we sat on the runway fo another hour or 2 while i was sick

I'm pretty sure all these modern GE Aviation ac engines like GE90x fam are made basically all by hand by individual teams of engineers and techs ... like no automatic assembly line mass producing here.

If your long-haul flight was in recent years, your best chance of it being a 747 would be with Lufthansa. Most airlines in the world have already stopped flying them with passengers, with the vast majority of currently flying planes being freighters

My experience at YYZ. I could be wrong. I have stood behind the planes taking. I feel the two engines of 777 blows back (yeah scientific term Huh 😂) more air than 4 engines of 747. I could be 💯 wrong, but it feels like that.

Just like previously mentioned… THAT is NOT full power! Its reduced thrust take-off. The noise pitch this engine makes when it is Fire-Walled is a LOT higher!

Meanwhile you have people saying they love the a350 better with its rolls royces. Me; no. GE90 to the sky and back. Sure, you get power in a rolls Royce but does it go to your soul when you hear that engine go to take off power? Does it humble you to your knees when you hear it come awake? That’s the ge90s. Even an a380s engines don’t do that

To nit pick, this isn't going to have been 'full power', as the engines would almost certainly have been derated for take off, as toga just isn't necessary as the engines are so powerful.
