What’s absolutely mind boggling is the thought of trading Ivey for BI. If based on trajectory patterns, Ivey is on pace to have a better career. If you compare each player’s statistics over their first two seasons, Ivey’s stats outshines BI. More importantly, Ivey’s ability to stay healthy is a key metric that cannot be overlooked.

An injury-prone, disgruntled, 1 year rental? For Duren and our 1st rounder? Teams know the Pistons may be desperate and will look for opportunities to fleece them. Ain't no way Ingram sticking around in Detroit. Meanwhile, the Pelicans will be laughing their ass. Not sure what's going on with the content lately, but some of this stuff does not make sense.

Cade needs a great Scorer. But that contract is full price for a healthy BI. Oft injured BI is another RJ type situation. Team will be good until Ingram gets injured. Then we fall short of playoffs don't get a top pick, yet can't escape from his contract to add other pieces around Cade. Sadly Duren for BI might be better than what the Pistons ultimately do.

I would seriously explore every single other realistic option before giving up any significant assets for Ingram. Never been a fan, but I see the talent there, however I have a feeling he's one of the "victims" of the paradigm shift that occurred post all-star break OKC absolutely erased him, I don't think he can manage any physical defense, and refs are allowing way more physical defense since mid February. It's not only the playoffs. Maybe the league roll it back idk, but be careful...

i 1000% agree. CADE has shown he can not preform well with a top second scoring option, BEY, GRANT, BOJAN, and IVEY had to take step back so CADE could shine. Players like CADE usually only play well with Big that perform well in the Post and can hit mid range shoots. for example (Kat/A. Edwards, Kobe/Shaq, Lebron/AD, Maxey/Embiid, and etc.) These are also teams that are performing well in the NBA in past few years. also do we need another player on this roster that has a long injury prone history like Ingram. I rather go after Miles Bridges, do not have to give up anyone and you get a top quality player.

Obviously Cade is untouchable so with that in mind im going to keep it simple... I love BI but no matter what trade we do this off-season I want Sarr or Duren. I think a trade centered around Stewart makes more sense even though i hate to part with Stew. Pistons community bashing a 20 y/o, Duren is disheartening. Goff is correct about our media being extremely negative but our fans arent much better, at times.

Bro Detroit didn't have a Paul George or a Westbrook to trade to start off their rebuild. They also didn't receive a young talent like SGA. It's not just about taking on salary for draft picks. OKC had top talent to trade they got 4 firsts and SGA for Paul George. Lol. Then OKC started to take bad contracts like a Chris Paul at the time and moved him to the Suns for more assets. Also Detroit outside of maybe last year didn't have the CAP space to take on bad contracts for picks. Grant and Bojan may have been the only viable trade assets and Troy botched both. Detroit started with their cabinets bare. Remember.

Brandom Ingram is a fringe All- Star and he will likely NEVER make an All-NBA team(has played less than 65 games his last 7 seasons). Mikal Bridges has a similar profile(albeit, with a better track record of games played). They're probably 1A and 1B for best avaialble Piston trade targets. That said, neither feel worth a guaranteed top-5 pick(in ANY draft) PLUS Duren or Ivey... much more intriguing to discuss future 1st. The problem with calling this a week draft is that players like Sarr, Dillingham, Topic, Holland... I'd even throw in the likes of Cody Williams and Risacher... Reed Sheppard?? - they can all contribute right away as 2nd or 3rd best players on the Pistons. Is Dillingham a better prospect than Scoot Henderson?... Taking Sarr before Brandon Miller?? Real arguments IMO.

Nobody as scrawny and tiny as Dillingham has ever been a better prospect than Scoot (and I'm not even that high on Scoot), and Miller has already proven that he's very good, so I would not trade him for Sarr.

@@scottwickett1273 no he not a salary dump. But in my opinion even though he is extremely talented building a franchise and and a winning basketball team around him is not a wise decision. He is good as one of the pieces but you can’t be going around talking about trading the players on the team that actually has taken the team to the playoffs and competed but turn around and talk about finding players to fit the one guy he has never been available to help his team in the playoffs. So if tanking is what the pistons want to do go with Zion , ingram gonna ball if he leaves the team regardless and get away from our bias media. I just hope trey and herb are not the next scapegoats when once again Zion is out with injuries

Ingram has had injuries during his career just as well as others but he always comes back during the season and he always is available for the playoffs. Thats a big difference between Zion playing 20 something games, playing 60 games , missing a whole season, 29 games next season not returning..props to him this year for playing 70 games but because he was so out of shape to start the season he literally had his minutes restricted and didn’t play back to backs for a good stretch of the season now he did work hard to finally get in shape but that took a toll on his body which led to yet another hamstring injury and another missed play off. What is there to understand. You comparing ingram to a player who is completely unreliable

Cade needs a 6 10 and up guy that can shoot and play D man, Ingram isn't a big fella he gets housed quite a bit, no motor

I don’t hate the idea of Ingram, but don’t love it either. My biggest two problems are his style of play and money. He plays a vey similar mid range game as Cade and we are already complaining how clogged the middle is. And $50M/year is a lot of cash he’ll be looking for.

I have very similar doubts about pairing Ingram with Cunningham. If Ingram would be more willing to shoot 3's, especially the open catch-and-shoot variety, I would think better of it. Problem is he'd have to come out and say that he is willing to do that. Also I'd be willing to part with Duren or the 1st round pick in 2024, not doing both for Ingram and his upcoming MAX contract.

No Ingram should not be a target. Especially if he doesn't agree to an extension way before a trade. Also.. I wouldn't trade any of my young guys for him

I would trade Trey in a second if you get also that ballhog of CJ. Trey is good don't take me wrong but overrated..he ain't a pure shooter like hawkins. He chocke, a 6'9 that dont rebound, very mediocre defender at his best

Jake's great, he is hilarious with the Kam bros with Locked On Lakers crew when they were giving him a hard time on not needing a podcast episode since he recorded one already during the in season tournament preview haha, and he had a really good media episode about what could happen with Balley a while back and what it can look like with Clippers/Jazz as examples. Funny though that Ku didn't say a thing when he mentioned Monty lol. I knew you had the Suns guy on to talk Monty last offseason but I wish you also had Jake to talk about how he was there too. Monty is probably gone but if he does stay, would be good to know another angle when he was the coach of a team on the come up like he was in New Orleans. Because the problem on this team is not just coaching, it's roster it's owner decisions that have gone awry, people like Tellem who have been here for about a decade to oversee 1 winning record etc, so if you fix maybe a few of them, what will management be like, what will coaching be like

Mikal Bridges would be the better option from an IRON MAN GUY & HE HAS CHEMISTRY WITH CURRENT COACH. MOST OF ALL HE PROLLY CAN PLAY BETTER WITHOUT THE BALL
