I thought Biden (even with his cold) answered on point to each question. Yes we could hear he was getting tired but he still sounded smart. Where as Trump had to be reminded over and over of what the question is because he couldn’t focus on the question. Trump didn’t have any ideas, he only had blaming. I thought Biden did better than Trump. Trump told the audience that we didn’t see the criminals on Jan 6 shout to hang Pence. I saw and heard it myself. I feel like Trump is telling us, “who you gonna believe, me or your eyes and ears?”. Why is no one criticizing Trump for not being on point and forgetting the questions. Trump had to be reminded over and over. What about that? Trump didn’t even have a cold.

I saw a tired man who has been over worked in debate prep. The very next day, Joe was back. If he couldn't bounce back, that would be one thing. Its exhausting trying to keep up with Trump's lies. Certainly the moderators didn't bother to fact check him.

There is no comparison between Biden and Trump. Biden is miles ahead of Trump in leadership, experience and capability. He also possesses qualities that Trump couldn’t hope to obtain in a million years: honesty, integrity, morals, ethics, wisdom, compassion, empathy, appreciation, the list goes on and on. Plus there’s also the fact that Biden is not a convicted criminal, unlike Trump. The only time Trump is honest about himself is when he’s projecting and lying about others. The only reason I still listen to CNN time to time is to hear how stupid things have got, this takes the cake.

I liked what the Historian said about Republicans and Democrats. It's so on point. Biden did terrible, but it's still early, so he has time to regroup. Joe was off during the debate but it's absurd to believe the people around him would let him debate if that was his normal state. I have to agree with the man on the right. Why are we not asking for Trump to bow out? Why is the Supreme Court not removing Trump's name from the ballot, making it against the law for him to run? Why was not one of Trump's many lies not called out by the moderators of this debate?

After the debate, I thought, Biden needs to go. Then came Biden's North Carolina speech, I thought, "Where was this biden at the debate?" Lichtman has called every election for decades. I am not an expert on elections, so I will just close my eyes and vote for Biden and Democrats down the ticket. We need to add justices to the Supreme Court to overturn these fascist rulings, and we need to destroy Trump and MAGA and save the rule of law. If everyone just votes Dems down the line, it doesn't matter what Biden can or cannot do, we will have saved democracy.

Allan Lichtman is 100% spot on. What happened after Truman and LBJ stepped aside? One bad debate? Seriously? And the very next day Biden bounced back with a rousing speech. I was sceptical about Biden in 2020, but he turned out to be the best president this century.

It's not about who won the presidential debate. People are more concerned about physical fitness and mental agility required for the job. A candidate, be it a Republican or a Democrat, must be able to carry out his responsibilities for 4 years with sound mental and physical health.

I was also very disappointed in the Democratic party for comments that were made after the debate. President Biden did not have his best night I agree, however it is record of the past 4 years and the past 40 years should speak for itself. I would still back President Biden over the option, which is too horrible to even consider.

President Franklin Roosevelt served for 12 years from a wheelchair and did just fine.

I’d like “debates” to have 3 different topics per night, not 50. Have the candidates answer the question, then fact check it, then ask the candidate to explain how the candidate came up with their answers. For example, if Trump says he won, have him prove it. We use the court system all the time to decide less important matters and people seem fine with that. Have Trump prove he won! Right now “debates” are reliant on a candidates say so. Enough salesmanship! Make them show their work. The problem with America is that we ask less of a candidate for President than any job ever known in existence!

I wonder that another debate is worthwhile if the same rules will apply. ie. no moderator fact checking and no audience to gain energy from. Biden was not given good advice. The preparation team needs the expertise of a specialist (eg. Mental health qualified) who can advise about the best way to deal with a socio/psychopath. There is nothing worse/ more discombobulating, than trying, from a serious mindset, to make policy points or give a record of success when you know in your heart the other fellow will not follow the rules. If you try to ‘debate’ without knowledge of the coping mechanism of mental health professionals you will be left ‘frozen’ like Biden became. It was not his age. As a mental health professional myself, I had to learn that all the good faith in the world, all the countering arguments, all the logic does not work. You do not try to argue, and you block out from your mind the person beside you, and answer the questions as though the person has not spoken at all, or you get advice how to calmly provoke the other person without looking like a jerk.

Yes, Reagan was 73 in 1984 when he got asked about age during the debate, but please watch that debate again and compare how confidently Reagan speaks and answers versus how Biden was in his debate. The CNN show was not a debate based on the rules of a high school debate. Trump made no substantiated assertions. Biden broght assertions and facts. If a debater lies during a debate that is grounds for disqualification. I think Biden had too many accomplishments to remember in 2 minute segments. Trump could simply say what ever popped into his head without having to support with facts.

The US presidential election is a very important issue worldwide. People still don't remember the past. Only by learning important lessons from the past can the present and future develop further. When Trump was replaced by Biden, The coronavirus situation was more serious than ever, The economy was difficult, almost anarchy and chaos. Of course, the coronavirus is something that no one, whether Trump or anyone else, can't help but come to, The problem was Trump's worst response and attitude at the time. Trump said the coronavirus was nothing, and he didn't think it was a big deal. He even talked about injecting disinfectant into the arm. These could be said to be serious problems. The national leader, who is most responsible for managing the crisis, has no sense of crisis at all. Trump always speaks plausibly, but there is no consistency between his words and actions. It is questionable whether the words he uttered are actually followed. Can we really trust Trump? Is he really honest and trustworthy? The standards for viewing humans are no different in the past or present, and will remain the same in the future. The most important essential virtues are character, honesty, transparency, purity, and trustworthiness. On the other hand, after being replaced by Biden, the situation quickly stabilized, It's been running relatively well so far. The world must no longer fall into chaos and disaster. . And another important thing to consider is: The truth is that Putin must pay the price. The war started by Putin killed a huge number of innocent citizens. This is still ongoing to this day. Despite this, people still don't care much about the war in Ukraine. Of course, we know this, but we are not very aware of its seriousness. Trump is partly responsible for the outbreak of the Ukraine war. If he had been more proactive in coordinating the relationship between Putin and Zelensky during his presidency, it is likely that that war would not have broken out. However, looking at past videos, Trump was in fact just watching and neglecting the war. Many people need to find this truth and know it properly. Additionally, Trump has a fatal flaw in not being able to see the big picture. The country-first and America-first policies he advocates may seem reasonable from an American perspective, but that is actually an illusion, narrow-minded, short-sighted, and foolish. The current global era is one in which no one country can act as a maverick. Such countries live in an environment where they have no choice but to be left behind and isolated. In other words, the America-first policy advocated by Trump is not an 'America-first' policy, but a concept that considers 'only' the United States, and is therefore greatly wrong. Such an approach will inevitably lead to severe opposition and resistance from other countries, and will ultimately lead to antagonism, conflict, division, and discord. It is still questionable whether Trump is fully aware of the issue. Bill Gates also pointed out this issue. Although it has not yet happened (and some of it has), if Ukraine falls to Russia, Europe will face a critical security threat. This is not just a problem in Europe, but is directly connected to security issues around the world. Of course, Korea is no exception. Looking at the actions North Korea and Russia are taking these days, isn't it possible to get some idea? So, this issue was blocked by Biden. We must not allow the gates of hell to continue to open. Putin must be punished appropriately, and order in the international community must be properly established. This depends on people's proper awakening, understanding, and consciousness reform.##

I am not in favor of Biden stepping down. He should be honored for leading the country successfully into prosperity, not judged based on his current state on a single day. It's important to remember that he is surrounded by a great team of carefully selected people who diligently do their jobs. Therefore, it's short-sighted and wrong to consider Biden's health as the determining factor. In the event that Biden is unable to continue due to health reasons, Vice President Kamala Harris is highly competent to serve as an interim president. Hence, this should be the only option considered, and no removal process should be initiated, which carries many risks, including the possibility that a proposed younger candidate would not have enough time to become well-known and accepted.
