Should I Pick The Walksnail Goggles X Or The Fatshark Dominator HD? - FPV Digital Questions 

They have fixed the static thing with an up date now works great

I'm new to FPV. I ordered the box goggle whoopfly16 sub250 kit. I had so much fun with it the first week, I had to buy some better goggles. I bought the goggles X and love them. I considered the $380 set of Fatsharks, but considered having to buy antennas and the price came out to be the same price as the Goggles X. Love them so far. I have smaller face and use the small foam under the wide foam for a perfect fit. No lit leak at all. I can fly all the way around my house now where i could only turn the corner with my box goggles. Just wanted to share my experience. Happy Flying.

I keep considering the Goggles X as an alternative to my DJI Goggles 2 since the VTX's are much more reasonably priced and support smaller quads. But I'd like to use them as my analog goggles (replacing my Cobra X) but without DVR it's just not worth my time. I keep looking at HDZero, but I don't love the way that it looks (the weird error character snow) and the complete lack on on-VTX-DVR. I can keep flying analog on my micros with Cobra X and O3/Vista on the quads that can carry it.

MadsTech said and showed the original goggles should be upgradeable too. It was easier to take out the board from the old goggles than the new one actually.

I hate that the optics are still tiny on the Walksnail Goggles X and the V1. Only one I liked was DJI V2 but I dont want to use 810p LCD screens. I just wish a goggle existed with actually GOOD optics without distortion and cutting off the edges. Fatshark Recon HD are great chose but they dont have support for aftermarket antennas. I'm at a loss. DJI V2 goggles optics + OLED + replaceable antennas would be fantastic.

Ohh good! I've bought stuff for mini fpv and 10 inch fpv but the goggles are where I cant figure out wtf to buy. Im going to start analog but I want to move digital eventually but I need something to hold me over

The latest update for the Goggles X has fixed my screen issue. Also, the stock antennas on the Goggles X have been working just fine for me. The FOV is a bit large though.

Hey im a begginer learning fpv, i just got a radiomaster boxer but have no idea wat goggles to get, wat would u recommend, should i go dji or something else 😅

I have both and like them both. I haven't had any problems with the goggles X either. I like the fitment of the dominators and the optics of the goggles X. I've never cared for fatshark optics. I run skyzones, and hdzero goggles as well. I'm not a Swiss army knife kinda guy.

I feel safe because both are way over , havent seen any Mid and low end price for digital hdzero based stock. Hope they will do that.

I still don't understand the weak analogue signal thing because the goggles themselves are receiving a weak signal. Why aren't they just putting through the analogue image to the screen good or bad?

The discounted price on the Avatars is because they no longer ship with antennas… so if you are just starting out and have none, the price difference is not much at all

Once hot summertime hits the northern hemisphere, I suspect there are going to be a LOT of unhappy Goggles X owners. They are poorly designed and need to be revised. The Fatshark Dominator HD is a MUCH higher quality goggle.

The lower range of the walksnail system is a big turn down

My concern is that Fatshark is bailing on the whole system. Since I don't have a Walksnail setup yet, I'm not sure if the firmware updates are goggle specific. SO glad I waited on the X's due to the overheating issue, but that's the path I'll eventually take. I wouldn't buy either right now, but read elsewhere that a heatsink has been added to the X's in production now.

They teased the 4k system since the vtx v2 launch... Let's just see about the august thing... Still on the Dominator goggles, I'll wait it out. Might as well get the ws vrx and put it on my HDzero goggles in the end if the dominator is eol. Or wait for the WS vrx v2 they'll anounce next year for all I know. This is a highly competitive hobby hardware wise.. new things keep being promised. Patience is key.

the fatshark ones are the most beautiful clearly, then google x then the hdzero googles, those are the most ugly ones, so rectangular and blocky, no big work on design, they mostly focused on features, but hey, they are opensource! Wish HDzero makes some improvements in their future hdzero system, becuase the perceived image quality is always lower when compared to dji/WS HD image. Even the 1080p30 doesnt feels as "HD" as WS.

Goggles x is the most compatible do almost everything goggle and the og goggles dont have antenna so its about the same price

Do you have something against walksnail? literally everything is better about the x than the fatshark and is future proof all for $40 more and you still cant recommend the x's. The fatsharks will only last a few more years after the new tech comes out so is a real waste of money if your looking to by now. I really cant get my head around your way of thinking on this one.
