I think this is pretty clear if you have any love of basketball and not just stats, stars, celebrity. It's not surprising that a lot of the loudest media personalities don't really get it, it seems people in the media who actually enjoy the game of basketball get relegated to backup roles on TV, where they scribble on a digital screen for a moment and do Xs and Os.

But anyone who watched Curry set screens, run as a decoy, and pass out of double teams 40 feet from the basket to help Durant get good shots, while Durant couldn't even learn to set a real screen in his three YEARS at Golden State, can see pretty clearly who played more for the team in those years. KD did up his game on defense though, which was great to watch.

Be real though that he only just lost to the eventual champions in OT of a game 7 with a Max contract player on the sidelines. The Bucks this year lost in a game seven with a Max contract player on the sidelines. Brooklyn did get swept this year with a Max player on the sideline and another Max player who only managed to get on the court for 29 games this year. You take those dollars out of any team and they are not winning. Look at the Warriors without Klay and Curry, they came last in the league and only won 15 games that season.

Ben would improve the worst aspect of the Nets and would be the best and most versatile defender. But to be playable he needs to practice his free throws.

Exactly, it's ok to not be a bus driver. You can still be an amazing basketball player staying in your lane and doing well. But his ego is so fragile that he feels the need to prove that he's a bus driver when it's just not in the cards for him. Stephen Curry's unselfishness fuels the entire bus on the way to the finals.
