And if you know the game its a little less boring to at least watch. Theres always something going on whether you know it or not. The chess matches with the bullpens and pinch hitters, the shifts, intentionally walk this guy to get to the guy behind him. Situational stuff that not a lot of people always know and understand. Plus all the cool stuff like the homers and going to the backhand and doing a jeter throw etc.

All that is true EXCEPT FOR QUARTERBACK. A baseball outfielder on a small market team like the A's has no shot at making more money than an average NFL Quarterback. And that's not even factoring in arbitration which will really delay any big pay day. Basically for Kyler Murray to make more money than he would have made in the NFL, he'd have to be a HOF level player. Player so good it made up for all years under arbitration and that he got big pay day from a team outside the A's.

He should pick whatever he feels the most passionate about. If he feels equally passionate about both then I think he should pick whatever sport gives him the best chance to stay healthy longer. I have not seen him play baseball though and how long he would be in the minors is a big factor to consider.

Considering he has less at-bats under his belt than his peers, he’s likely two to three seasons away from reaching the majors. And then he would be another three seasons away from arbitration. So his first big payday for baseball would likely not come until 2023 or 2024.

As a Sooner fan, I think the Bama defense proved he could hang with Bama if the Sooners had a good enough defense, but they also proved his going to get hit a lot. If he goes to one of those teams in the NFL with a bad offensive line, his shelf life might be 3 yrs. The safe bet is to go to Majors.

I agree MLB for all the practical reasons. Albeit, if he really loves football..just go for it. Its a tough a decision for a 21 yr old college kid to make. Ultimately, you gotta do what makes you happy. Whatever sport that is
