It's not about who u team up with. That's never been the issue. It was the fact that KD was in the same conference as Golden State and he just lost to them before going there. And Golden State is the only team in NBA history to beat MJ's Bulls regular season record of 72&10. Golden State had 73&9 then they lost to LeBron then KD went there. Thats what makes it different. And KD was also in his prime. LeBron will be 40 by the time he goes anywhere. It's not comparable in any way.

You guys are seeing this the wrong way, they are saying that Lebron with the freak if they win that ring wouldn't count for Lebron because the freak would be the best player, well those 2 championships in GSW KD was the best player Why? KD scored more points AND IT WASN'T BC OF CURRY, people forget KD was a FOUR time scoring title champ before GSW did Curry helped KD when KD wasn't inGSW? or GSW fans want people to believe KD forgot how to score more than any player in the NBA when KD joined GSW? and KD not only had more points than Curry KD also defended the best player in the oposite team and also had more rebounds and more blocks , so kD was the best player in those 2 championships and the weirdest thing is when you compare Curry to any other greats nobody say oh but 2 of Curry's rings he wasn't the best player oh but with Lebron if he wins and he's not the best player that championship doesn't count against other greats.

As for Kawhi, he certainly proved his talent down the line, but that was a very young Kawhi and much older Duncan. The Spurs wrecked the Heat with their 3-point shooting as a team but the reason Kawhi got finals MVP was because of the job he did guarding LeBron in games 3 and 4. Same reason Iguodala got the finals MVP in 2015. It was the league's way of propping up LeBron indirectly. Either way, no, the 2014 Spurs were not stacked with a team of past their prime veterans and a baby Kawhi. Certainly no more stacked than LeBron's Heat were. The 2007 Spurs were better than the Cavs, sure, but not by as much as you would think. The 2007 Cavs were actually an excellent defensive team (5th best in the league). LeBron just played very poorly in that finals, shooting under 40% if I remember correctly. I wouldn't have expected him to beat the Spurs, but I think he should've taken them to six games.
