Too little, too late if it happens one day. No fault divorce has been around for quite some time now, starting back in 1969 with California. Which gave us men more than 50 years of not so flattering perspectives about women and the "justice system" in ̶k̶a̶n̶g̶a̶r̶o̶o̶ family courts. The results? An awful lot of us are done with just the idea of marriage. Finito! Even simply to cohabitate can be a gigantic pain in the...To go your own way is the only way nowadays. No drama, no bs, no honey-do list, no obligatory brunch with the MIL, nothing. Peace, quiet and the priceless luxury to do whatever you want, whenever you want. Out of the plantation we go. Rest assured we will safely stay out.

45:25 I agree with this point, the simple rules make sense. What you come with you leave with. The marital delta gets split, 50/50 unless someone is at fault. I like that.

One big problem with ending no fault divorce. We already know so many of these women lie through their teeth. If they have to come up with a legal reason for divorce, expect false accusations of abuse to go through the roof. I'd say let's let them have their no fault divorce if they want out. We need to go after alimony instead. Modern women can work and make their way, as well as own property, so the original premise for alimony is obsolete. Stick a fork in it!
@squirrellygirl1988
@squirrellygirl1988 Месяц назад
Yes, because women are not currently making false accusations left right and sideways with absolutely no proof whatsoever. In a faulted divorce, she would have to provide actual legitimate proof to backup her claims.
@donm-tv8cm
@donm-tv8cm Месяц назад
@@squirrellygirl1988 yeah they can easily do that. I have a cousin who spent years in prison and endured unspeakables, just because his then-wife successfully coached her young children to say things that got him wrongly convicted for child SA. It ruined him. But she got her divorce and nearly all his stuff for her efforts. The prosecutor in that case blocked every potential defense angle my cousin had, and his public defender acted like she was on the wife's side. So oh yes, it can happen!
@squirrellygirl1988

@@donm-tv8cm Because a no-fault divorce doesn't require proof - a faulted divorce would. False accusations are rampant in divorce and family court exactly because they don't require proof. Requiring proof would decrease false allegations, not increase them
@donm-tv8cm
@donm-tv8cm Месяц назад
@@squirrellygirl1988 not really. My whole thesis is women will always "come up" with "proof" if necessary. And the System will help them out, just as it did against my cousin, who I know was innocent.
@squirrellygirl1988
@squirrellygirl1988 Месяц назад
@donm-tv8cm That could be true, but like I stated in the video I think the opposite would prove true more often. Would it stop everyone? No, but it would potentially drastically decrease the power of the silver bullet defense (which was a rarity before a no fault became standard).

my x wife walked out on me after 22 yrs of marriage, her reason was she was not happy. I live in Fl so there was nothing she had to prove to get a divorce. Just file. Total BS. She completely blind sighted me with this. I never saw it coming. She never lead on that she was unhappy.

@jamesyoung187 Месяц назад
EVEN WHEN YOU KNOW....IF YOU TRY TO GET HER TO SIT DOWN AND TALK ABOUT IT, SHE EITHER WON'T BOTHER OR WILL SIMPLY SAY SHE "DOESN'T KNOW WHY SHE'S NOT HAPPY, SHE JUST ISN'T".

@josiah5776 8 дней назад
@@jamesyoung187 Exactly. The only thing she's sure of, is that her unhappiness is the man's fault.

In short, yes, nobody should ever lose half of everything they have ever worked for because somebody else got bored or cheated in the relationship and this goes both ways. In my opinion I don’t care if it was the man or the woman no, I’m not saying people should not be able to get a divorce, but a spouse that cheats that’s why they got divorce and then let’s say it was the woman she still gets the house she still gets alimony. She gets half of his retirement because she cheated that’s wrong. I don’t care how you wanna look at it or how you wanna spin it we also need to get rid of child support in general joint custody and most cases unless you have a parent who legitimately does not want joint custody then yes they should have to pay some sort of child support to help support their own children, but the laws have got to change. It’s way too one-sided.

Don`t forget when she files because she wants out, it`s not just her who is affected. it`s the kids, the parents, the families, the friends. The list goes on and on. So it appears the happiness of one person is more important than anything else. this is the true definition of selfishness. Guys DON`T GET MARRIED She`s not yours, It`s just your turn.

No fault benefits the woman, 99% or more of the time. Also, (mostly false) accusations of abuse by the man are boilerplate in most divorce filings.
@jamesyoung187
@jamesyoung187 Месяц назад
Women file for no-fault divorce and then make all kinds of accusations of abuse so that they will get custody of the children and the massive child support that goes with it. My ex complained all the time that she hated having to watch after the kids, but in her divorce, you would think that she was the only person who wanted children. SMH I petitioned for custody, but fathers have no rights in most family courts. 😢😢😢😢

It won’t matter. All it will do is result in women lying about abuse. How do I know? Because even in states with no-fault divorce, women already lie about abuse to get the upper hand. It’s how they manage to get primary custody of their children, which comes with those sweet, sweet child support payments. And, oh, the little ones will need someplace to live, of course, so there goes your house. What’s that? Mama’s accustomed to certain way of life (that apparently was quite cushy despite all those beatings)? Well, here’s some alimony, you poor thing. The number of stories I’ve read or heard from men who were absolutely gobsmacked to learn they’d been abusive to their wives and children proved that no-fault divorce is only part of the problem. The real culprit is the lies told by women so that they can benefit financially, profiting off of their ex-husbands as they tell people how strong and independent they are. Do not believe abolishing no-fault divorce is some sort of panacea, gentlemen. All it will accomplish is women stepping up their lying game.
